Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Lucky you, I also live in the suburbs and do know social climbers. I had a good friend in my neighborhood who moved literally down the street to the more "prestige" (add sarcastic tone here) neighborhood (which of course is in the midst of a large number of foreclosures right now). She literally acted like she moved to a different city, and even told me that was how it felt on one occasion. I won't bore anyone with details, but she behaves very similarly to Alex, and her husband is just as bad as Simon, including no personality. Needless to say, we aren't friends anymore. I have encountered others like this as well. In the suburbs I've found it's all about having the biggest house and if your subdivision has the latest and greatest kiddie pool.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Alex and Simon............I would love to tell this couple that when their money is gone, so are their so-called "friends". These 2 individuals are certainly not a wicked, evil couple and ,in fact, they seem very nice, but they are completely misguided if they think these "monied friends" are there to stay, while the truth is that Alex and Simon will be dropped faster than a ton of bricks. I wish someone they trusted would help get their priorities straightened out. Other than the social climbing ,they seem like a very nice couple. Simon is definitely not gay,but I can see that he was reared very well, and has lovely manners, which is refreshing these days. I am so tired of men saying "YO! and HEY and not holding doors for women. Simon lets his wife walk in front of him because he is a gentleman and that was the way he was raised. Now,it seems that if a man has good manners, then he is "gay"? As for the school,it is just another status symbol in life. Will their 2 boys learn to count any better than my 2 grandsons who do not attend a prep school? The one thing that really annoys me is the fact that Alex pretends to be European, while, in fact she was born in the U.S.A. ,which is the greatest country in the world, and she should be proud that she is a natural born citizen. There are thousands of people who would kill to be in her shoes right now, having that American citizenship, being born into it. Shame on you, Alex, for pretending to be ,once again, something you are not. Ramona has to back off with her daughter and start acting like a mother and not a "buddy",let alone a tart. Avery wants to look up to her, not down at her,and Ramona is not setting a good example at all. I think that Mario is far from being a push-over-I caught a steel glance in his eyes when Ramona was trying to promote the acting career to him. This is a man who would kill for his daughter,Avery comes first, and he will do whatever he has to to ensure her happiness.I could see that he does not approve of her being upset if she has to miss school due to some sort of "casting".School means a great deal to her and she hates to miss one minute.and here is the old lady, trying to yank her out of class so she can do a commercial. Not a good move, Ramona. Let the child be. I like Jill and Bobby and the daughter-they are just nice people and Bobby is such a sweet generous, good hearted man. LuAnn I can take or leave-preferably leave. She forgets her Ct roots and her growing up days on the Berlin Turnpike in Ct. Bethenny-PLEASE! SOMEONE MARRY THIS POOR WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City He is very shy,has few words to say in front of the camera ,and is probably absolutely horrified beyond belief that he is now on national television. I feel sorry for him, and, yes, he is as cute as a button ,and ,yes, he is totally adorable. Bethenny is entirely too,too pushy and she is only driving him away. She wants to move in, get married, get pregnant and they have only been dating 6 months? Is she crazy? And, he just got out of a marriage and has 3 children to support. No wonder he isn't too peachy keen on this situation!

I like Jill and Bobby the best as well. But can someone tell me if they have a child together....much younger than Jill's teen daughter? In one show, when Jill was forcing her daughter to hug and thank Bobby for the week at the spa, it seemed very uncomfortable and unnatural for either to show real affection. Then Bobby looked at a young girl and commented on how beautiful she is. Don't know if the little girl is from this union or was just a friend's daughter, niece, neighbor, etc. Bethenny just comes across as totally desperate yet, in her own words, has man issues. Her bald boyfriend clearly is not in a position to have a live in lover, has at least one ex in his life, three children to support....and is in a relatively new relationship. Six months is too soon to be sharing drawer space and other furnishings! | |

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I say thank goodness for international dating sites, how else would Alex have ever found a man as unimpressive as herself? Her and her husband send chills up my spine. They are so full of themselves, all though I can't figure out why, they are just plain nasty.
