Plus he allegedly manages a hotel and I would imagine he knows how to pay for the check discreetly and graciously by watching his guests.
The Mc Cords invited the other couple out, and to gain a favor.
Everyone knows how this world operates, that is, if they want to get into it.

Not only that but...and this is the part that got me....was that Alex STATED that she and her lurch-husband INVITED Jill and her husband out to dinner. Ummm, I thought if one invited another out to dinner then the tab would be picked up by the invitor, not the invitee? No???

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I am so glad I found this forum! I am shamelessly addicted to the RHONY. I really can't stand any of the women on that show. With maybe the exception of Jill, I can tolerate her. But Ramona and Alex make me ill!! I can't stand listening to Alex go on and on about her precious Francois and not getting into private school. And Ramon gah I don't even know where to start with her! But I will keep watching the show! lol

Alex wouldn't know what a Hugenot is. I believe she is more interested in sounding "continental", though I believe Simon have Hugenot in his genealogy. I wonder why Alex hasn't started to throw that around.

Back to the dinner . . . . Alex did say that they invited the Zarins. She basically was saying, "We are using these people to get something." Sure, they should have paid the bill. That may have made some points with the Zarins. Possibly Bobby is thinking that the hotel may use Zarin Fabrics in the future. The dinner showed Alex and "hubby" more socially awkward while Jill is who is and doesn't care whether you like her or not. I do.

He might - he's a stock broker or something. Actually I personally think he's as cute as a very cute button; who cares if he's bald/shaved?

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

It just dawned on me that Bethanny and her man's routine doesn't make sense to me. There have been a couple of times now that they've shown the two of them at her condo eating dinner that she cooked. So after work, does he come over to her place to eat, and then they both leave to go to his place to sleep? Or are they exaggerating something for the show? If that is their normal routine, I think that if I were a cab driver in NYC, I'd get in the habit of driving by Bethanny's building at the same time each night.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I find it amazing that La Contessa prides herself on her command of etteekett (she even has a TV show thereon), yet can't keep herself from gossiping and rudely demonstrating her disdain for Ramona. For all her La Contessa ways, she acts like a pre-teeny bopper. Showing up 'just to see' and making sure everyone knew she had a better engagement is ill-mannered. She goes out of her way to snub Ramona instead of gently demonstrating true grace and gentility. When somebody slights you, first assume that it was unintentional. If you can't, then don't bother to take notice of them. Retaliation is never polite.

I felt kind of bad for Bethenny when she tried to talk to her boyfriend about the living situation. He doesn't seem to keen on moving forward with the relationship.
