Hey, Simon's hotel that he manages is "Chambers" right? I'm at a Chambers Hotel in Mpls right now. LOL! No sign of Simon, though, thank goodness.

It's kind of a cool hotel, but the service sucks. We asked for a 6:30 wake up call and got a wake up call at 5 something in the AM, and then kept getting them every 5 minutes after that. We called the front desk several times to ask them to stop calling before the calls finally stopped coming. Then we were going to have room service breakfast at 7, and had ordered it in the night before and told them we needed it no later than 7 (my husband is taking the bar exam and had to leave at 7:15 to get there in time) and a little after 7 we called to make sure they didn't forget, and they did. They told us for 20 minutes that our breakfast was 'on the way up' but it didn't get there until after my hubby left (poor guy had to grab snack mix out of the honor bar and take his exam on an empty stomach!). My hubby was pizzed off and doesn't ever want to stay there again.
Oh, and when the breakfast finally came? It wasn't what we had ordered.

So much for the Chambers Hotel...

Yeah, they know we are uphappy. They comped the breakfast - though a lot of it was stuff I couldn't eat anyway due to allergies, etc.

I blame SIMON. LOL. This is all Van Kempen's fault.

It's a cool hotel - the rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the lobby is really cool, but the staff is inept and things don't work right. Like my tv remote. It only changes channels when I'm really close to it.

Well, I'm pretty sure this is the 'sister' hotel to the one that Simon manages in NYC. I hope Simon and Alex weren't ever in my room taking naked pics of Alex...*shudder*...

Yes, I thought that was so hilarious that she thinks she's Miss Etiquette. Her grammar sucks and she flaunts in everyone's face that she's a 'countess' every chance she gets. I hope her book includes proper etiquette for grabbing men's crotches at parties and falling down drunk in parking lots. And pointing out how you are better than everyone else.
