| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I guess I'm not really sure, but do the real movers and shakers of the world have homes in the Hamptons?! Seems like Monaco or Tokyo or some other exotic locale would be more what a zillionairre would go for. Plus, the real movers and shakers of the world wouldn't be on this show. For many reasons. That's not to say that they women they are showing aren't rich...goodness knows that they are, but there are several levels above each and every one of them. As reluctant as Jill may be to acknowledge it. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City This months Vanity Fair has an excellent article on the veddy, veddy high priced real estate in the Hamptons. And the associated robber barons/entertainment czars/heiresses who live on the bazillion dollar estates. Um, no sign of the Zarin or Singer manses in the article though. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Okay, instead of A/S wanting to be socialites, what if they were correct when they denied wanting the status. What if all they really wanted was the tv gig, and this is the only way they thought they could do it, by acting like they thought socialites behaved. All the "dahlings" by Simon, and Alex waiting for her next cue .... ???

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Alex & Simon's July 4th weekend: Oh, where oh where to start? What's the favorite angle of this piece? My personal favorite angle - Simon left a party with a gay couple at 1:30 a.m. after Alex left earlier to go to Burger King (that's Burger Rex to the rest of us). Hmm, and to think she wasn't invited to boys' night out . . .harumpph! Then there's the "oops, they took the children out to another adults-and-burgers soiree, what were they thinking?" angle. And of course, there's the "we're in the Hamptons - we have to work to impress people, sigh" angle. Oh - and there's the angle that separate camera crews are following this "famed couple" separately from the other housewives. Ladies & gents, we just might have a summer's worth of snark from this one weekend! |
