Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Water Mill and Sag Harbor are on the wrong side of the Montauk Highway, I think 4 miles inland towards the bay.
On the way you pass an area populated by the help that some snarks call Lionel Hampton.
They are all 15-30 minutes apart depending on traffic.
Southampton is more of an old town and the biggest. Less beachy. Bridghampton is slightly nouveau. Sag Harbor has those icky pebbly beaches.
But a quaint town.

Easthampton is the most New York, and the most Hollywood. And the most fun.
Better stores, restaurants, and beach.

Does anyone know what exactly the A List awards are about? I know it's a Bravo! thing with all of their shows' casts on it, but they aren't A listers...so...what is it exactly? They vote on stuff and give awards to A listers? Or to Bravo peeps?

Well the commercial said it would give awards to chefs, which I thought sounded really thrilling...
This is what Bravotv.com says about the show. So I have no clue why the Housewives will be attending, other than climbing the social ladder.

Bravo is dedicated to celebrating the creative process and showcasing some of the leading creative minds working today, and as the only channel to include virtually every popular field of the arts - beauty, design, fashion, food and pop culture - it's the most logical home for an event that celebrates these disciplines. "My Life on the D-List" star Kathy Griffin hosts Bravo's first ever "A-List Awards" honoring those people that have made an indelible mark in the arts, with a special star-studded red carpet pre-show hosted by Tim Gunn. The "A-List Awards" premiere on Bravo on Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and the red carpet pre-show airs at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I will not watch another season of this show. It truly should be renamed "The Real Desperate Housewives of NYC." I've never seen so many insecure, yet successful, women on one screen. Bethanny is pathetic with her constant discussion with everyone about her biological clock. Jason is crazy to appear on the show & publically humiliate himself by association. Ramona is a poor representative for both her business & that of her husband's family (particularly given her behavior seems completely opposite the targeted customers of her husband's multi-generational business). LuAnne is the epitome of a girl from the wrong side of the tracks marrying for money & awkwardly attempting to subtly remind everyone of her newfound status. Jill is stuck in a high school mentality of wanting to be the popular kid. Lastly, Alex is beyond ridiculous. How can any adult be so self-absorbed & clueless about his/her own behavior, materialism, social status, children, etc.? I feel sorry for her children that are not being taught basic skills (e.g. appropriate behaviors, manners, not playing with someone else's food, focusing on the task at hand in academic settings) in an effort to bring attention to their parents. Likewise, I find it appauling that parents would subject their children to possibly unflattering television editing for a buck! The show will not get my viewship again...

I think they were there to present an award and apparently there was some backstage drama....if you can believe it.
