| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Thanks! Also, I had read somewhere that the Countess was an LPN but several people here have said she is an RN. I checked on the New York State Board of Nursing web site and there is a LuAnn De Lesseps that is listed as being licensed as an LPN. I'm probably the only one that has noticed this discrepancy, but in my own defense, I am a nurse and needed to know that! ![]() |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I was wondering the same thing. I know I'd never give my license up, even if I won the lottery. But, I'm not a Countess. I don't know. I did read her bio on her own web site that says she's a trained nurse (LPN). Who knows? Maybe she better keep up her license since there are 3 former Countesses! ETA: the LuAnn De Lesseps on the web site does have a current license thru April, 2009. The original date of licensure was 11/04/88. |

Alex and Simon are weird, no question. They were the first ones to totally strike me as poseurs, and their house was in rough shape - even the finished parts were filled with IKEA stuff, etc. However, the more I watch this show (and, yeah, I've seen each episode a few times at this point. I have no excuse for it either... ) I notice that Bethenny is kind of an attack dog. She is funny, and witty, and to me was the most likeable 'housewife' on the show because she had a sense of humor about her neurosis, but on the reunion show she was all about calling other people out on stuff, probably to avoid any scrutiny that might come her way. The first time I watched it, I was like, ![]() because she was putting them all in their place and said everything I was thinking. But then she was calling people out on stuff left and right to the point of it being pretty shocking! It was great entertainment, but man! She is ruthless. She's telling Simon he was so 'gauche' for talking about money, but I only remember Simon doing that once (saying he spent more than 5 figures but less than 6 while out shopping), and yet Bethenny, after Ramona left her dinner party abruptly, said, 'I get paid thousands and thousands of dollars to cook' - which I think is just as 'gauche' as what Simon said. While it is totally rude to do what Ramona did, it would be rude regardless of how much $ Bethenny makes or if she was a chef or an accountant, for that matter. Then when the plastic surgery question came up, she managed to sneak under the radar on that one (obvious boob job) and got very silent. ![]() She's done a good job on the surface of avoiding too much criticism for her antics on the show, but I would not want to be in her cross-hairs. Ramona is really obnoxious, but she does more harm to herself by acting like an a$$ than to anyone else, Jill (as long as you invite her to everything) is harmless enough, Alex is a total freak but seems harmless too, and LuAnn is Mrs. Passive Aggressive, oops, wait...Countess Passive Aggressive, but Bethenny - she is claws out. | |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City As for LuAnn's "family jewels" - maybe I'm a dim bulb, but what do they mean exactly by "family jewels"? How much the Count is worth? Hopefully they don't mean...you know...south Florida. Though it is kind of funny that when they asked how big the family jewels are, LuAnn said something like, 'not that big' Poor Count! |
