manhattan is very expensive..everyone lives in a hole in the wall. Alex lives in Brooklyn, much more affordable. She can't afford to decorrate, period.

I understand that living in Manhattan is expensive, but Bethenny claims to be making thousands and thousands of dollars a gig. So 3500$ isn't anything to sneeze at for her.
I think the reason she said something was because A&S's place looks like a hell-hole. It was just plain nasty! At least Bethenny's place is finished and clean.

Speaking of small spaces, did you notice how small Luann's place was? That closet they showed in the daughter's bedroom looked like a coat closet. I understand that Manhattan is expensive but when you compare Jill and Ramona's condos to Luanns, there is none. Especially, since her Hamptons home was huge and was she the one that owned the yellow Ferrari.

I was surprised that LuAnn, sorry the Countess had such a small kitchen with such cheap looking cupboards. I guess it wouldn't matter to her since she isn't the one who does the cooking though.

Remodeling is more here to.
I just redid my kitchen with all high end Bisazza tile, silestone, Luxor cabinets, stainless appliances.
My kitchen is a tiny Pullman.
I've seen bigger closets.
It cost over 15g's!!!!!!!!!

The best places to live are in the pre-war buildings and those are hard to come by.

I think they can afford it, but they choose to spend their money on "wearable art" and making eye contact at the Met.

Re: Bethenny blasting Alex & Simon's home - didn't she also explain that it wasn't the fact that it looked like it did, but that nothing was said about it being under construction. As in - It wasn't what it looked like, but what I thought it would look like considering how Alex and Simon had presented themselves. Very upper-crust.
I think it just really caught Bethenny off guard to walk into a construction zone for a kids party, without any advance notice.
Alex's response was that it never occurred to her to tell anyone, cause it wasn't a big deal. I think I would've wanted to know not to wear any good clothes and to bring along a hardhat.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I am so glad to have found this site. I can't believe it took me so long....I've missed out on so much fun.

I am obsessed w/ this show, too. LuAnn really gets on my nerves....if she spent any time AT ALL w/ her kids, she would not have had to ask (I think she asked Jill) what BFF meant. She didn't have a clue. It just says to me she is never just hanging out w/ her kids. Poor Noel.....I feel badly for him...he just wants his mom to spend some time w/ him. And it struck me as strange that they had never gone to see the Statue of Liberty together, as a family, ESPECIALLY since the Count's family had something to do w/ bringing it over here. I do think she is pretty, though, but then she opens her mouth and it becomes apparent that she is a very heavy smoker, by that deep smoker's voice. And the Count looks like he has that barrel chest thing going that people w/ chronic lung disease have. LuAnn's not too far behind. I'm surprised the doesn't look older than her chronicle " " age, though, from smoking. Just sayin'.

Carry on.....this is so entertaining. I can't wait for them to come back.
