Captain Obvious checking in here ... LuAnne calls him The Count because his name is Alex and she didn't want to get her husband and the other housewife mixed up on the show. If this has already been pointed out, please return to your regular lives. Captain Obvious out now.

Thanks Captain Obvious! I actually never thought about it, of course she could just say, my husband, or use his whole name...Alexandre. I love how Bethenny makes fun of her calling him the Count. Ok, back to my regular life now!

I think it's funny that Bethenny called Alex out on the reunion show for having an unfinished home. Have you noticed Bethenny's apartment? She claims to be an excellent chef that 'gets paid thousands and thousands of dollars' for cooking. What's up with her kitchen? It is a galley kichen, with floor tiles from the 80s, a peach colored backsplash, with the occasional flowered tile thrown in, circa 1983, and has low end, older appliances in it. You'd think 'the healthy Martha Stewart' would have a gourmet kitchen with all the bells and whistles. Or at the very least granite counters and stainless steel appliances... Not some tiny, crummy grandma kitchen.

All these peeps are total poseurs.

But it's a rental. When she spoke about moving in with Jason, she mentioned that her lease was up.

She could easily rent a nicer place. If she is the high end chef that she says she is, you'd think she'd want a place with a nice kitchen in it.

I imagine she has a space she (and her assistant) work out of. It's unlikely that she bakes and ships food from home for "Bethenny Bakes".

That apt is in Manhattan, small apts are the norm. You'd be really surprised at what she pays for that apt. In fact, she's one of the lucky ones with a full kitchen!

Didn't she say she was more of a downtown girl than an uptown girl? Maybe it's just not that important to her.

Bethenny is renting and I would say for renting an apt, that is about the nicest kitchen you are going to get in Manhattan. She has a very cookie cutter one bedroom apartment, that most likely is anywhere from $2200-$3500 a month for a true one bedroom apt and location. And it looks like every other "nice" apartment I have been in on the Upper East Side. It's just usually the ones I am in, there is a fake wall up and a roommate b/c most of my friends can't afford that. But I think to have much better of a kitchen living right in Manhattan, you need to own not rent.

I'd think she'd have a nicer place considering she publicly humiliated Alex for having a not-so-nice place to live. I guess I'm just saying she's not the one to be blasting people for their living spaces since hers was not so great. I understand that living in Manhattan is expensive, but Bethenny claims to be making thousands and thousands of dollars a gig. So 3500$ isn't anything to sneeze at for her.
