One really great thing about Jill is her warmth with Bobby's children which often, is difficult when there are adult children, in-laws, and grandchildren. Jill has created one happy, healthy family for Bobby!
From the little that we see, Bobby seems to really love Jill. Adore even. You can tell he's proud of her, and that's sweet to see.

This show was bad PR for NYC.
The problem is Alex and Simon wont admit to social climbing! Like Bethanny said in the reunion, "just own it". I disagree that the other "gold diggers" dont give a damn about their kids. Jill appears to adore her daughter, as weird as Ramona is, you have to admit she loves Avery. As far as the Countess goes, she's working on it! And Bethenny, she's working on having one!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I can see why A&S are considered the most "real" on the show. They are spending way beyond their income (most people in the world), want to better their station (most people wherever), are somewhat delusional about how they are perceived (most people in all of the galaxies), look fairly normal for US standards (she possibly has an eating disorder (some women in the US)).
I guess what I'm trying to say (in a nice way) that the A&S look like people who we would all see walking down the street in wherever we all live and not give them a second look. We don't know them, nor do we care to, one way or another, and they live their lives. The difference is that they put themselves out there and they should "own it" now that everyone who had brought them into their homes, knows who they are and are talking about them.

Oh yes, you can tell that he thinks the world of her and I find that very endearing.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Well, we never heard Mario say anything nice about Ramona, Jason said two words in Bethenny's presence, but still puts up with her, the Count was non-existent (for various reasons), and Simon has almost a fatal attraction/stalker thing going on with Alex. Bobby painted Jill in a positive light, went on blind social dates with her - just because, and contributed financially to Allyson's treatments because it meant something to Jill. You can tell he wins the best hubby award for the NY cast!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Got this from Pretty On The Outside

Couldn't have said it better myself:
If I miss any of those ladies, it will be the mood swing express known as Ramona. Bravo struck gold with this air quote "abuser". I have to say that her daughter Avery was pretty well adjusted and was happy to read that she's decided to focus on school rather than the acting career that her mom was pushing. Too bad in a way, Ramona and Dinah Lohan could have done a reality show called America's Next Top Stage Mom or So You Think You Can F%#k Up Your Kid.

Goodbye Alex:
If anything, I'll miss her conjoined twin husband Simon more than her. She and Simon are desperately and I mean desperately trying to climb the social ladder of Manhattan's society doing whatever it takes and looking for any opportunity to make connections. I just find it funny that Alex says she never wants to live in the suburbs, yet she lives in Brooklyn.

Ah, Brooklyn. . . . . a suburb before there were suburbs.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I don't know Brooklyn from Anchorage, Alaska but if someone calls it a suburb, then it must be. And for Alex to contort her face about it, well, I find that contradictory. She knows that word, right??
