Aw, c'mon. Living in a trash hole basement and sitting at that scummy breakfast table frantically searching for the "society pages" looking to see Alaxass's ass end in a photo, rushing to the opera hoping to get photographed on the red carpet when they're flat out nobodies, and the cameras clearly showed the ho-hum photographers leaning on their cameras when the VanKlampetts walked by, gleaming eyes when they thought Jill knew someone who would slip little FrawnkenSewer into a "classy" school, on and on ad nauseum. They're real alright, real losers.

Sounds like a new school mafia to me...

At least it wasn't Anne Hathaway. She's a class act!

Sure, some people have different priorities, they'd rather have a closet full of clothes and live in a dump. Okay, that's fine - whatever they want. BUT, the way these two talked themselves up, and they way they act like their poop doesn't stink, you would think that they would live in a nicer home. Like Bethenny said, they make such a point of acting like they are NY socialites, and are really into the best of the best. But their home looked crappy. Really crappy. So it makes one believe, like Bethenny said, that they are "all show and no go" - They want people to think that they are wealthy and live a very posh lifestyle, but seeing their home in the state it was in makes it seem like they are putting up a false front.
The state of their house wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't play themselves up so much to be such sophisticates that settle for nothing less than the best.
Well said. The thing about the VanKlampetts is that their high horse has mighty short legs. Ok, now I'm really getting off this board. I almost went to bed a half hour ago and now look at me. It's addicting!

The VanKlampetts who are the Cobble Hill-billies, well I don't find them normal either, unless I am the only person with no naked pics on the internet and spending money on clothes that should be spent improving my child's life.

As far as the Count and his dirty money, I guess he has to do that to keep LuAnn from posing for Playboy, because she has such high morals and is so proper. I really feel bad for their kids, I bet they have no clue what daddy does.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Does anyone know about the work that de Lesseps had done with the Myanmar Children's Association? I know that he has has something to do with building orphanages. He is a Fulbright Scholar and we are invited (with other Fulbrighters) sometime in May to hear him speak about his work. Just wondering since above (somewhere) he is being made out to be some type of Simon Legree which, from a Fulbrigher, would be unheard of.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Had to go out of town for a week and missed all my favorite reality shows! Argh....next time I make reservations at a hotel, I'll be sure to ask about what cable channels they have.

Anywho.....finally caught the reunion show. I finally "get" A&S. They truly are soulmates. It's them vs. the world and we're the ones who are skewed in our thinking. But, they forgive us for not understanding. In their minds, there's nothing wrong with their lifestyles and we should all "live largely, loudly and unapologetically".

awwww..........pfffffft!

Bad editing, my ass! But what the hell, they're entertaining. They really don't care what our perceptions are in spite of Simon's protestations of misrepresentation. They'll do as they please and next season, will not disappoint us. Betcha they'll have a game plan (scripted conversations and all) that they think will make good TV. Oh yeah......as said on the Seinfeld show, there's good nekkid and bad nekkid......Alex's was bad. Bad, bad, bad.

Too bad we can't video-blog. It might have been fun for us to have a Ramona impersonation contest! She's too much!

I love how she is open to new friends at her age (not many are) and how she tries to be a good friend to everyone. I REALLY hope she comes back next season!
One really great thing about Jill is her warmth with Bobby's children which often, is difficult when there are adult children, in-laws, and grandchildren. Jill has created one happy, healthy family for Bobby!
