| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I guess when you're comparing him to Simon and Jason, he's drop dead gorgeous! I dont see any resemblance to JFK jr, only the dark hair and maybe his height. |

Yeah, it's called ,"He's a saint." We all also must acknowledge that the reason Avery is the way she is, is all because of Mario. Ramona even stated herself that Avery's a daddy's girl, and Mario gets up with her, feeds her breakfast, takes her to school, quizzes her on her tests and homeworks and is bascially THERE! Avery is vey critical of her mother ans see's right through her. That's why she's always seems disgusted wit how she dresses and acts. That had to have come from dad's teachings because if it came from Ramona, it would be accepted. I give little credit to Ramona for raising her the way she is. Dad is the key player in her upbringing. Also, if Ramona is 51 with a 12 year old (I'm just guessing that's Avery's age) that makes her having her at 39. Obviously Ramona's eggs were shriveled up and bad, so Bethenney's got a good couple of years left to make it happen.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Yeah, I'm thinking Jill's gotta be older than 44. She said she and her ex tried to have Allyson for 3 years and almost gave up, but then she got pregnant. That would put her at 27 when she started trying. It's totally possible, but fertility problems that young are pretty uncommon. I was under the impression she was in her late 30s when trying to get preggers. Not 62, but early 50s is what I'd guess. I know this has been discussed earlier on this forum, but I'm still confused about the whole Count/Countess thing. The Count is French, right? And France did away with titles/nobility long ago... So being a French Count, does that even exist anymore? I'm thinking that you'd be the descendent of a Count, but you wouldn't actually hold the title of Count anymore...? I mean, if the UK did away with their monarchy, would the royal family's descendants still call themselves King, Queen, etc? And would it be appropriate for them to expect others to still treat them as royalty? I think it's weird that they live in the US, yet still want people to call them by the appropriate title, etc. Americans are not familiar with nobility. We are a democracy, you know? So the fact that LuAnn expects people to know to introduce her as Mrs. DeLesseps and not anything else is asking a lot of people. I'm an educated person, but I have no idea what being a Count means in today's world. I'm guessing most everyone else in this country wouldn't know, either. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City To me, it's just a title to say that they are of value from his family history. And since American's don't put much into "titles", it's deemed to sound more showy and spohisticated than what they are. Their "nobility" holds no water over here. |

I read this in wikipedia about the de Lesseps family, and laughed! Thought you might enjoy. Eh, can you tell I don't want to do work today? LOL: The great-great grandson of de Lesseps is a New York City philanthropist, Alexandre de Lesseps. He has been married four times. His fourth wife, LuAnn, is currently one of the co-stars of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City. She recently stated that their first-born son will inherit the family jewels to give his wife. This suggests that none of the three former wives had sons, and that the wife did not get the jewelry. LuAnn Insists on being called Countess, and takes great offense if called by her first name by someone beneath her station -- the station of a fourth wife of a man whose father's father's father's father did something meritorious 170 years before she was born. LuAnn's deep voice and tremendously thick wrists have been a source of embarrassment since she was a teen.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I just read Jills blog on BRAVO....do you think she is really leaving the show, or is she just saying that she will be taking a break until Season 2....It won't be as interesting if she leaves.. I think Ramonas hubby may be good looking, but his personality seems as quirky as hers...I read where he was divorced when he met and married Ramona, I wonder if he has other children besides Avery....anyone know? |
