I was really sad to hear her talk about it. Tough stuff! Hope he is on the mend! ![]() I guess the reason she gave for not being back was that she was going to focus on Ally and her 11th grade issues. I'm horribly paraphrasing. I'm just hoping that all is well. Jill really grew on me! ![]() Quote:

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I knew there was something shifty about Count Chocula... He's philanthropic and Alex never posed nude. The crushing burden of microcredit | France 24 Business; A Path to Helping the Poor, and His Investors - New York Times - Watching that video will break your heart. Robbing the poor to pad the deep, greedy pockets of the rich? Say it ain't so. Telling people to sell their children to pay a loan? I'd be so proud. ![]() ""Smart" celebrities who "care" about things love microcredit, the most buzzed-about poverty-ending economic fad since eating the poor. Mohammed Yunus, the guy who invented it, won a Nobel Peace Prize! And Harvard-educated Natalie Portman works tirelessly to promote the idea that small loans to impoverished people will lead to an entrepreneurial spirit that will lift everyone out of poverty. The only problem with "microcredit" is that it's actually loan-sharking, and it's destroying the lives of the people it's meant to help. France24 actually did some journalism and talked to recipients of the micro-loans instead of just taking the word of noble economists as gospel. Watch as collectors from Grameen Bank, the gigantic bank that largely runs the microcredit scheme, advise villagers to sell their children! Now, instead of just being broke, Bangladeshi villagers are deep in debt and killing themselves to escape their creditors. Finally, they are living the American Dream." - From The Gawker - Gawker, Manhattan Media News and Gossip - On a lighter note, some very funny reads on the Gawker site. Check out the story about Alex and her REAL job at VS and the fugly clothes she wears... ![]()

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I watched the Reunion show about 5 times now and plan to watch again and again. This is entertainment ..! Ramona: Complained of being bored when the spotlight wasn't on her for a minute. Her eyes were spasmotic, and she even warned that she was bored. This was to hopefully turn the conversation back to her. Didn't work and before you know it, little miss "I'm bored" stands up to draw the eye away from her competiton Alex and back to herself where it belongs. Talk about ill mannered, drama queen took the prize. It had nothing to do with anyone's pictures and all to do with the spotlight not being on her. Also, she was extremely put out that Alex's husband was there and hers wasn't allowed to be. Alex: still snobby and trying to portray a level of intelligence she doesn't have. She was contradicting herself over and over and never caught on. Then out comes her hubby to the rescue and she/they still portray themselves as sadly lacking in status. Simone: If all the husbands were there, I wouldn't have minded. However, they were told he wouldn't be there, and next thing you know his carcass is parked on the couch and he's making sure that HIS side of the story is not only told but accepted. He was getting furious when the others didn't agree with him as he is used to with Alex. Opportunistic camera hog. Alex/Simone: Fooling themselves but no one else. If their real life friends haven't changed their opinion about you two, it wasn't great to begin with. Bethenny: Still hilarious. Love the directness and the "blame the editing excuse is crap". Jill: I hope she returns, minus the irritating dog. Love her calling Simon out, but hate that she dropped it when he wouldn't answer. LuAnne: Still snotty about 'the help'.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City [quote=Poohtz;2946063;]I really don't know if I could watch the show without Jill, she kind of balanced everything out. I mean really, look what's left, Alex and Ramona, that will make for one heck of a show. [/QUOTEI I don't know if it would work without all five of these women....including Simon..I don't think Simon knows any different and he will probably be just as big an idiot next time....they need to keep these women and don't intorduce any more until we have had at least 2 seasons with the same ones.... |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I'm sure if Jill does bow out, there's a long line of "socialites" waiting to take her place. ETA: I'm watching the reunion again right now and when Andy says to A&S "There's been a lot of negative feedback about the two of you....here's some of it" and Jill says "Let's go".....it's hysterical that she wanted to hear it all.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I will be sad if Jill does not come back. She was my favorite housewife on this show. But look at the RHOOC...the first season had Kim and Jo/Slime. Kim left after the first season. Second season introduced us to Tammy and her daughters/son. Jo and Slime left as did Tammy's boyfriend. Third season introduced us to Tamra and the cougar (I can't even remember her name! LOL) So if Jill does leave, they will probably find someone else to fill her place, but it won't be the same! |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Jill is a good person with a good heart. She knows that now is not HER TIME. She has put her family first. I guess one could say she is "getting her house in order". ![]() (S&A, take note!) |
