Frankly I don't get what everyone's issue is with their floors being torn up and renovations being done. Who cares. Is it Bethenny or Ramono's business? How does this bother people? I don't get it. And if they spend money on the opera and fancy clothes rather than getting their floors fixed, that's their business too. However, who even knows that is what they do..maybe just maybe..they are doing BOTH at the same time. I thought it was rude for Ramona to mention their house as something that "shocked" her and then start yapping about lead paint or whatever. STFU Ramona. As if you give a damn, you are just looking for another reason to launch against them. I thought they were very rude about the house issue. Sorry, it has nothing to do with taking up for A&S, because they are phony wanna be climbers, who definitely thought they were going to impress people with their goofy socialite talk when in reality they looked like D-bags. I'm arguing more for the principle.

ITA with everything you just wrote. ![]() Especially the part about being tricked into thinking that A&S were in their league, because Bethenny said more than once "I was surprised by......(fill in the blank)." When she would find out some new information about A & S...like their wrecked house, or their kids acting up..etc. I don't think any of them knew A&S before the show, and don't want to be associated with them now. The other ladies used the reunion show to point that out to the world. Hence, Ramono running off when the nude pics were discussed. It's snobbery at it's finest. I say to Alex and Simon, why would you want to be friends with people you have to exaggerate and lie to fit in their circle? Stop being phonies and be happy with who you are.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I agree that the women were very inappropriate re. Alex's house. It was the first time I actually felt a little sorry for her (and I'm no fan). |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Anyone else wonder about the validity of Her Majesty's answer to Andy about bestowing (buying) the Count title to Noel - what about sons from the first THREE Majesty's? No sons there? She sure didn't want to talk about it, so for me that was a red flag... Has she no sense of humor whatsoever? Family Jewels. AllS well that ends Well. (maybe she's trying to sound like the Bard!!!!) Alex. Poor, poor robotic, parroting Alex. Much Ado About Nothing? "Well, you are a rare parrot teacher!" "I would rather hear my dog bark at a crow" than to hear your voice lying again. "I do love nothing in the world so well as you; is that not strange?" Yes, it is. Since Alex feigns to be so well read, those little cutlets are just for her. Right out of said referenced play and if she has a brain; she'll know that I'm insulting her in the worst way. Christopher Guest, indeed. He has more brains than she'll ever hope to have. Funny, though that she would choose to reference Guest; since they look and act like something from Best in Show. Yes, yes, I'm seeing the striking similarities between Catherine O'Hara all whacked out with the prosthesis....Yump, yump...it's ALEC-X Thanks for the Bon Mots, Alex. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() :c ryingYou guys totally nailed their conversation on the way home. ![]()

I think a lot of people did see it as a contradiction in their social climbing behavior, but for me, it was more the issue of having such major renovations in a house with two young children. I think it's fine to renovate....but it's a BETTER idea to stop until the kids are old enough to understand that they shouldn't touch the nails, taste the paint, etc. Or you can schedule the floors to be redone on a certain day and either have the au pair take them out or take them out yourself for the day. Kids that age get into EVERYTHING....and certainly Francious proved that at the dinner. Either finish the renovations in a timely manner or save them until the kids are older. I don't believe that they are paying for the clothes, Met, vacations AND the renovations. Because frankly, I think they would be done if they had the money for both. Who wants to live in a construction zone if they don't have to? It's not like Alex and Simon are the kind of people who want to do it themselves. Can you picture what the two of them would say if you handed them a hammer? And professionals could at least lay down a floor in a couple of hours.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Again, their budget wasn't laid out for us so who knows how they spend their money. It is possible they are buying clothes and taking care of the renovations. I just think the house renovation is a non issue. There is nothing wrong with renovating your home, and still living in it with kids, especially if you can live fine and avoid the parts of the house that are being renovated. Why does everyone assume her kids are eating paint and driving nails into their eyes! lol I don't think many people, unless they are extremely wealthy, could afford two homes in New YorK City...so the idea of living in another place while this one is being done is a little much. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Because the parts of the house we saw had s*** everywhere: peeling paint, floor pieces, heavy machinery (I don't know what that was in the hallway). The kids are 4 and 2... babies hang out on the floor and eat stuff they find there. They house LOOKED to be unsanitary and not a healthy place to raise kids. (I did notice that the master bedroom looked redone and we never did see the kids' rooms). The parts we saw (aside from the bedroom) appeared to be dirty, filthy, in disrepair and unhealthy. (asbestos, anyone?) I don't think they are in the process of renovating... if they are the contractor should be fired for not cleaning up after himself when he leaves a job. |

You can use any excuse you want for living the way they do, but the truth is, once again they have showed that the kids are not important. Anyone with any renovation clue would know that you can do one room at a time and keep the kids away from that area. I really do feel bad for those kids, the parents, well they are just beyond help and totally clueless.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I think Alex and Simon are hippie types that decided they wanted to be socialites and don't understand what all the fuss is about over unrepaired floors, doors that don't open, and a few nude pictures. |
