| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I read through FORT, but this is the first time I have read on this show. This show is much better than Housewives of Orange County. I am in my forties and I found that show weird, all the strange looking faces. Alex--At first I thought she and her husband were strange, but she kind of grows on you. She is interested in NY society, and if that's what she wants, that's fine as long as she isn't being mean to people. Jill--I guess she is mentioning all the property stuff because that's what NY people want to talk about. She was trying to talk about what she thought they would want to talk about. Minus the NY trash, I find her very likeable. Ramona--I thought she was very weird (pool fighting, wearing unflattering for a NY person clothes to a fashion show), but I guess it's her unique charm. Why is she bothering to sell skin cream? She shows that she is getting cosmetic procedures. I guess there are people that would buy anything. Love, love her daughter though. She gets extra real to offset her mom. Countess--I thought her kids were the Count's. I'll go back and look. People who marry a lot are scary. But on the positive side, they are not afraid of commitment. They love love. And that's a good thing unless he has a side thing going or is working on number five. If he is, this show is good advertising to get the countess the next monied geezer. Alex--She looks pretty on this last show. I hope she gets over whatever grief she has with her parents. OMG they did her the disservice of bringing her into the world. She wouldn' know if she would do things differently than them because she hasn't gone through the commitment of kids. I think she would really take a burden off herself if she would just forgive her dad. He could get sick or something. Jason--I wasn't sure whether he was using Alex or what because he wasn't saying much. But it does look like he cares about her. And he scores extra points for watching his dinner being taken over and pulverized by that kid. The kids--I have a friend with four kids who were little terrors like that. Parents love their kids and don't realize how turned off people get by their ill manners. I remember one of my friend's kids dropping food he had been chewing on into my plate (very nauseating); and she said nothing. My friend (the mom) is very kind and positive about people, but she is in a way like her children. For instance, she would leave a big pile of clothes she tried on the floor of a dressing room for someone to rehang and replace. So I don't know if there is any hope for manners for the kids. Parents probably don't have them. Jill's kid--cute girl Jill's husband--good guy Ramona's husband--may be a saint for putting up with her. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Good for Bethenny. Wow, has anyone seen her website? $35 for two dozen cookies!! same with the muffins. Judging by the ingredients in the muffins, they must taste like mud. You can purchase the same type of stuff at a chain store that sells "traded" goods for a couple of bucks. Not sure if I am allowed to mention the name of the store. Who buys this stuff? someone must, otherwise she wouldnt continue to sell them. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City [/FONT OK guys - I need a little help. I am having a dinner party and want to have a "Dance like Ramona" contest. I had a dance like Elaine on last decade and it was a riot. Where can I get a clip of her, er, gyrating for my invite? Also prizes. Hmmm Ramona themed prizes - I was thinking Depends, a framed picture of her uncle Marty Feldman and a single barrette to swoop up one side of your hair - It looked SO good when Olivia Newton John wore her hair like that in Xanadu! I know, I'm going to hell in a fast car. I just need a change from the "Frankel Effect". I had a bunch of women visiting for the weekend and we were watching the marathon by the pool. WHen Bethanny announced that she was on her 7th tequila, we were like hell open some more wine. Then we can drunk dial/text our boyfriends and demand to move in with them and procreate. And, when I went for hangover remedy burgers, I charged them $30.00 because they came with pomme frites ![]() ![]() |

In Sweden, English is taught starting in the 3rd grade. Hong Kong most all of the young people speak english, it is taught in all of the schools. Los Angeles County is the only country that I know of that spanish is the only language allowed to be spoken. ![]() | |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City
I once heard that the difference between an extrovert and introvert is that the former is rejuvenated by being around people and that the latter is rejuvenated by time alone.... I don't get a "Stepford Wife" vibe at all from any of these women, including Alex. Alex has a career and mind of her own and seems quite capable of many things. I just think she and Simon are both introverts by nature and quite happy in their own little nest. For this, I have no problem with either of them. " I don't see them as introverted - they are all about getting out and being seen. I guess I get a creepy vibe about Alex. Some of the women are quite catty and stuff, but ALEX. There's some serious dysfunction going on with her. In the scene where they were having Frannie's birthday party at their townhouse/shack, and Bethenny is crying to Alex about her relationship problems, Alex totally abandons her mid-sob because Simon asked her a question about when to serve the C-A-K-E. She just popped up and ran over to Simon and left Bethenny on the floor! To me, she seems the most disingenuine of them all. Like she is hiding something...anyone else get this? |
