    Re: Millionaire Matchmaker

I think its hypocritical to be a matchmaker if you yourself can't be matched. And like another poster said, she emphasizes the man's lust, but then laments any women who matches that lust, after all women must be sexy but demure....and if a woman exhibits complete demureness, she is written off completely by Patty. Yet their is "no" sexual relationship for 3 months? Yeah right, as if that's realistic. If she is so into sexual compatibility, why wait 3 months to test the waters? She should just pay for a hotel room and be a Madam.

I find her to be highly unorganized, as well as offensive. She picks either dumb blondes or Jewish princessess, or any other archetype. She never allows real women, because she knows the men she has, only are there to get some action, they themselves are not real either.

I have never met a successful man who joined a "millionare matchmaking" club and expected marriage and kids...they join to get some t&a, not to find Ms Right. They dont want to marry a gold digger, unless they have issues and want a girl who has daddy issues....and some of the men she has had on her show have fit this characteristic completely.

    Shoepie,
Thanks for the info on Chelsia leaving Patty, because she couldn't take it anymore. Sounds like Patty is upset with her, like she said on WWHL, but more so because Chelsia's trying to start her own business. Patty seems the type who wants to keep someone under her thumb forever. I think she has way more issues than most of her clients.

Does anybody know if the Manzo boys are millioniares, or if their father is?
I have to say I much enjoyed them on the show, as opposed to the fake and over the top people she usually has on.

I thought last nights show was a big let down. She should have worked a bit with both of them on their issues before the mixer. Otherwise it's just doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. Not smart. I could have predicted both outcomes from the start.
The show sucked big time. Actually, it was the Caroline Manzo Show. UGH!! Andy Cohen posted that it was the biggest Matchmaker ratings ever -- go figure. It was useless and way too "cutesy." I'd rather the regular show - much more interesting. Another example of the "Bravo coziness."

Amazing how Patti didn't get raked over the coals when they played the recording of her horrible rant at one of the people who worked for. Absolutely horrible, albeit not as bad as the Christopher Bain one. Gives a new meaning to arrogance.

    Re: Millionaire Matchmaker

I love Caroline and her sons.
So, perhaps that's why I really enjoyed it.
Add to that the fact that it bore some semblance of reality for me. I find that seriously lacking in this show most of the time.
I also appreciated seeing a majority of real looking women at the mixer.
They were actually smart women overall, didn't have the title model/actress, didn't have overly bleached blonde hair and overly fake boo*s.
    I just love that.

I must have missed the rant on the recording. Who was she talking about? TIA

No, but they are millionaires in the making because they are part of the family business.

I didn't think this was one bit cute. In fact, Caroline creeped me out when Patti was doing her body part questionnaire (boobs or caboose men?) and their MOM answered. Ick!

Patti called the Manzo boys "millionaires-in-training". Hard to be a millionaire on a cop's salary, and a banquet manager's(?) salary....but it will be gooood one day!

I like Caroline (generally speaking), but I really like the boys. They do seem down to earth with their priorities in tact.

Something is really off with Patti, though. The punk guy is too kissy-face and his girlfriend is too standoffish...kind of like she'd like to get the hell out of Dodge if she could.

There is absolutely no good juju going on in Patti's world. It's me, me, me or nothing, nothing, nothing.

She's losing it for me real fast. I suspect that she is digging herself a karma grave, and it will come full circle pretty soon.

I completely agree with you. Patti is so annoying and abrasive! I'm not the least surprised she's not married/engaged. Who wants to marry a pirannha??!!
I only watch to see these odd people who think they need a matchmaker to find their soul mate.
I liked the Manzo boys episode. Did not have a problem with Chris taking her to Medieval Times except I think they would have had a better time if other people had been there also. Going somewhere fun and corny could make it easier for people who don't know each other. But Chris is just not ready for a serious relationship. I also think Caroline needs to cut those apron strings but she doesn't want to. She definitely enjoys being the only woman in her boys' life. I, too, was a little uncomfortable during that conversation about whether the boys liked boobs or cabooses. Sometimes Caroline seems just a little too flirty with the boys. I find that to be icky.

    Re: Millionaire Matchmaker

Caroline Manzo takes the term 'helicopter mom' to a whole new level.

I have two single DS', exactly the Manzo's ages; one with his masters and great career and one in law school. There is NO way, ever that I would get involved in their dating life, ever.

Come on, I am guessing the ratings were not good on this show (which I have never watched before) and Andy/Bravo decided to spruce it up and went with the Manzo bros. who are NOT even millionaires ... I don't care if they are millionaires-in-the-making due to the family business, they are not now.

    JMHO.
