    Re: Millionaire Matchmaker

    Watching Julien was a hoot!
That poor boy needs to take the first plane back to Paris ASAP. He does not want a liberated, free spirited make up artist. He wants an 1800's maiden.
No one under 50, even in France would order for his date. This is such a cliche. Get a grip.
I am afraid that he took too much after his french father and is looking for a philosophical partner. He is no Sartres and Debeauvoir was born 100 years ago!
On the other hand, I agree with him regarding his house situation. If he feels comfortable living in "Chateau Ghetto", why should he change? He has no one to impress and should live as he pleases.
Thanks to the good folks at Bravo for this new addition in their line up.
    I have love for Patti.

He'd do well with a mail order bride that doesn't speak English. That way he could teach her everything!

I'm glad though that he moved out of Chateau Ghetto. But it didn't say if Drama and Turtle moved in with him.

    Re: Millionaire Matchmaker

I just caught this show for the first time and I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. At first I thought Patti was abrasive and a little stuck up, but then I realized there was a method to her madness and she really grew on me. I really like that she tells it like it is.

Boy, Julien is a piece of work. He's so attractive but seems so unaware of how he comes off. If I were Patti, I would have him repeating the mantra "Loosen up, Loosen up, Loosen up" at least 25 times per day.

I agree, that it would be nice to have more than a one sentence follow-up to see how the guys are doing now.

She needs to tell her one assistant to learn to do her makeup better. Yikes!

Patti cracks me up. Is it a bit archaic and mean spirited to hook up these, in some cases, older guys with these baby-beauties and make cracks about other women being too old? Probably. Would she attract these guys if she didn't draw a line? No.

Patty could use a makeover herself. Why should the women on her show take any hair/clothes/makeup advice from her when she looks like that? Her hairstyle was stolen from Cher circa 1970 (it didn't work on her either), she is out of shape, and can't find flattering clothes for her frumpy body.

Ok, I said it wrong. The assistant needs to get her makeup done by a professional or at least loose the light metallic shadow on her lids. (maybe she has been taking makeup tips from Pattie). I don't know. Pattie and her staff just don't say "Beverly Hills" to me. They just don't come across as very professional looking.

Sorry Tvaholic. I was the one who said it wrong. I was referring to Patty's call girls, escorts, dates, whatever-you-want-to-call-them when I said that they couldn't take her makeover advice seriously. Not her assistants. I went off on a bit of a tangent from your original post.

Did anyone see the previews at the end of the show, one of the assistants was asking for a raise and I guess she didn't get it because the next scene is her talking to the other assistant about starting their own business? Anyway, I'm glad Lola didn't stand up the guy, and that they are dating.
