If people typically take uppers, which from the sounds of it Charlie did, it doesn't take much to pass a drug test as those drugs typically come out of your system very rapidly. So his passing of a drug test or two is not that impressive to me.

Oh, I agree. I don't trust anything about the "so-called" drug tests. Brook says he was drinking on the yaht when he threatened to stab her. He could still be drinking. Plus, you have chain of custody issues, with the samples, possible payoffs to the lab. I'm very skeptical of that. Besides, did you see the reactions of him and the live-ins when questioned about drugs in his house? OMG Body language says a lot. And I have known people who passed drug tests for jobs. There are ways to flush out for a short time. Cocaine will not show up after several days use has expired. There are so many credibility problems that it's really not an issue for me.

Plus, if he is clean.....OMG....that's really scary.

Relapse rates for addicts are extremely high - 75-95%. It wouldn't be realistic if every person on this show got clean and then never used again.

I know that but this show just seems to glorify the whole process and almost mock it. Looking at the new cast, its becoming more and more of a stepping stone for some of these low lifes to become famous again or for the first time.

On CNN, Deepak Chopra says too that Charlie is in a manic phase of Bipolar Disorder.

Id almost have more respect for Dr Drew if he just told these people their real addiction is their celebrity and try to work on that a little. I dont understand how he can ignore that.

I'd have more respect for Dr. Drew if he was admitting people to that treatment program and giving them appropriate treatment in general instead of 28 days with half of that detoxing. He continually takes people who need a higher level of care than he offers there and that's not ok.

I just read that Steven ADler from a couple of years ago is coming back to Celeb Rehab. He was recently arrested for drug possession.

This is so sad. We knew he was deeply troubled..........he really seemed like a great guy who just couldn't let go of the grief and guilt he felt. Namaste Mike. Rest in peace.
