I'm not watching this show anymore.
However, just a note of interest - my sister went to college with Tom Sizemore. He was "third spear carrier to the right" in a production she was in in college drama.So sad what happens to some people.
I really believe it was court ordered. I've watched Dr. Drew being interviewed on a couple of shows, and he stated it was definitely court ordered. He also stated he (Dr. Drew) had to write a letter to the Court that he was satisfied with Dennis' level of participation or else Dennis would be going to jail afterwards. Dr. Drew said Dennis' resistance to the program was "profound." He mentioned Dennis being one of the most frustrating and intense people he has had to work with. I don't think this is a spoiler, as it's been mentioned in interviews, but for those who don't want to know, I'll tag the following text:Originally Posted by Coco46;3792332;

ETA: Dr. Drew also mentioned that the court had ordered some type of program, and the court accepted this program. Dennis had also gone through other types of programs in the past.

I, also, wanted to comment that the times I've seen Dr. Drew being interviewed, he has always stated he realizes this type of treatment isn't enough, and hopes it can be a sort of springboard for those needing help.
While I know this is more of an entertainment show as opposed to a documentary to help people, Dr Drew allowing Heidi and Tom to be in the same treatment facility at the same time totally kills any kind of credibility or respect I had ever given to him. Come on, like that isnt clearly a ratings grabbing move?
Dennis Rodman is a complete ass. One of my friends was in a club in the city with one night and he was there. He weaseled his way into their area and all he did was run up money on his groups tab, proposition all the women they were with and then skip out on them. That is truly the type of person that is he.
A judge may have ordered that Dennis go to rehab, and his agents or handlers encouraged him to do this.
Someone awhile back was wondering about why they were beeping out "mother" and I think it's probably for confidentiality.
I'm glad to know this information. Says alot!Originally Posted by daiseyo;3792559;
I only have a kitchen because it came with the house.
I would accept the spring board thought by Drew if the patients were at the appropriate level of care to start with. His program would be great as an inpatient aftercare sort of program or program for people who are not heavily enmeshed in addiction and who are in the later stages of change not the earlier ones as he is getting on this show.
I'd also accept the spring board thing if he wasn't sending them off to half way houses after their tiny stint at treatment as well. These patient's don't need half way houses and after care after his program. They need a real treatment program after his program.
I also think he has ruined some of his credibility by taking Heidi and Tom and putting them both in the same therapeutic group. And then with how deep and enmeshed their addictions are it's not the appropriate level of care for either of them on top of it.
Its very wrong to have Heidi and Tom in the same treatment program. Its almost as bad as having a sex offender in the same treatment program as their victim. He went to jail for domestic violence against her! Very very wrong.
The best thing I can say about these shows is that I really like Shelley!
Oh, ITA about Tom and Heidi....why did they do that....oh ya, ratings.Originally Posted by RealityRealmer;3792825;
