I haven't seen the show yet, but going purely by the picture I don't like it.
Darkening the fireplace and lightening the walls has drawn attetion to the lack of symmetry caused by the small windows.
I might change my mind once I've seen the show.
I like the arrangement of the furniture better afterwards. I don't like the darkening of the firplace unit thing either though. It is to prominant to be that dark.

I like the way the fireplace surround blended into the wall more in the before.
It made hte fireplace more of a focal point, whereas in the after, the fireplace is lost among this big brown box.
I didn't see this one. From the pictures, I think I liked it better before Gen got her grubby little hands on it.
That fireplace is horrible in the after picture. The windows look terrible, and personally, I would never want all-white furniture covers. Ugh.
Iím haunted a little this evening by feelings that have no vocabulary and events that should be explained in dimensions of lint rather than words.
The brown would have been ok without the purple. For some weird reason Gen made that High point a sitting area.... Um yeah ok .... NOT
