Re: Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp

The fat loss obviously didn't hurt them, they still won.

Even though they techincally didn't win by the overall percentage, they still lost a considerable more ammount of % weight loss and they deserved to win. Fat loss shouldn't have anything to do with it especially since some don't have much fat and are there just to tone up.

Well...the whole point of losing weight is to lose the fat. Brian Dunklemann is a prime example, he lost 22.1% body fat. He obviously put on muscle, you can see in the final morphing of him going from unfit to fit he built up his pecs and core.

Also in regards to the less fat of the contestents, especially Erin and Dunkleman, they both could be catogorized as "skinny fat". Techically close to were they should be (weight wise by a scale) but the percentage of lean muscle tissue to body fat actually is very poor.

Re: Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp

I just came up with another reason why Erin is on my S*** List. As a professional entertainer she signed a contract to lose 8lbs in 8wks on a fitness show. To help her she was given access to a professional trainer, a psychologist and nutritionist/doctor and given (free) a meal plan so she wouldn't even have to make her own food. All she had to do was walk 1 hour a day plus go to Boot Camp and she couldn't even do that. Even if she only walked 30 minutes a day every day for the 8 wks (56 days) and burned 250 calories per walk that would have added up to 4lbs burned. If she just got her 8lbs in I do think the Red Team would have won. Can I put the Red Team's lose at her feet? Yeap. Because she didn't do what she needed to do she didn't get the money which regardless of her later backpedaling I truly believe was her sole motivation for being on this show. And Erin you did not present yourself well to your fans. The fake orgasm was not bad editing you gave it to them.

Re: Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp

Erin seems like she might have a drinking problem. I don't buy that she's so busy she can't find time to eat right or exercise. Her face is always puffy and she's not that overweight. No motivation and always having excuses....sounds like something more than laziness to me.

Re: Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp

One thing struck me as strange during the finale. While I really liked how the producers showed us how the contestents interact together between challenges and weightins I was bothered that Willie Aames; while describing what he was doing as far as eating and working out, said he only had 600 calories for the day. How many articles have I read were the experts all say not to eat less than 1200 calories a day because our bodies kick into starvation mode and hold on to the fat and start breaking down muscle. That comment was a real big Red Flag for me.

Re: Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp

Comments on finale: This was supposed to be an 8 week Boot Camp and by my calculations there should have been 9 weight in’s. The first weight in would have been at the very start and then a weight in every week until the end of the 8th week which would have been a total of 9 weight ins. Also the 7th weight in you could see that it was Day 42, 43 or 44 and yet for the finale there was not any day mentioned. 8 weeks equals 56 days so there were 12 days between the 7th and 8th weight ins.

Also no final bmi results were given. I find that highly annoying. You cannot use a general bmi calculator. If you plug in the original numbers the results of individual is off. The reason general bmi calculators are not that accurate is that individual ones such as the submerging in water or electrical impedience measure the individuals amount of lean muscle tissue, body fat, and water.

Re: Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp

I'm new here

I remember reading the episode synopsis on VH1.com where it mentioned something about the season being "51 days of mud, sweat & tears", so I guess it was 51 days instead of 56. You're right though, 56 days=8 weeks so I don't know why they kept it to 51 days.

So they were at camp for days 50 & 51. I did the math and there were only 5 days between each Fit Camp.

BTW, thanks for posting the results.

That's makes sense in reference to Dr. Ian's comment to Tina about being able to lose 11lbs in less then a week. Tina must also have been putting in some serious cardio to get results like that. I do wish that we knew more about the excercise at home portion of this show. It is very obvious that Willie and Tina were working out several hours a day. Willie claims to 6 hours a day in the gym. Still I would like to know what the others were doing or supposed to be doing outside of the weekly boot camps.

Also in light of the fact that the Boot Camp was actually 51 days and not 56 days (8 weeks) or 60 days (2 months) the results that Willie, Tina, Toccara, Dustin got were amazing. Brian deserves a special mention for the last week diet off for the Blue Team. What is really funny about this entire situation is that if Erin Moran had done the detox part of Dr. Ian's program for one week or two she would have dropped the weight she had needed to and then just cruised on the free meal plan for the rest of the show and not be beaten up by her fellow contestents and by the judges panel. I certainly would have been more impressed by her for doing that.

Yes, I think that's why he didn't lose that much weight the last weigh in. His body probably was in survival mode. He claimed to have worked out 6hrs a day with very little caloric intake. You would think he would've lost more than 3lbs doing that.
