Watched the finale late last night... and I said previously that I would not be surprised if one of the guys won, but the right person was chosen. Ronnie was classy about losing, Perry and Ben, not so much. I don't think they were honestly surprised at Holly "beating them out" [I think the call out order was done by the number of votes each received].

I have a feeling those two were more than just friends, not exactly just made out to be involved when they weren't, like both Perry and his gf kept saying.

i'm so glad stephanie gets signed. She is a real model to me, such a great face for photography.i personally like her walk ,too.
those working models would never win anything from reality tv shows .maybe they look plain i guess.

However the boys (Ben and Perry) were in the house and how competitive they were and tryed to pysch out the competition were they really that blind to Holly's potential? Did they honestly not get that Shannon and Holly were consistently winning the weekly catwalks and other challenges? Wasn't that a clue that one or two of the girls were potential "winners"? Be cocky but don't be blind to what is really going on.



BTW is anyone watching the Make Me A Supermodel UK 2006 marathon (started at 8am and ran until 3am, the first ep was not shown but there were 18 episodes plus the finale). I have gotten as far as the first catwalk elimination. The editing is a bit off, but you see alot more of what the daily routine of the models is as far as working out, practicing the catwalk going on photoshoots etc... It is a blend of America's Next Top Model and the US version of MMAS. What makes it distinctive is that 2 of the male models; James and Jono are terribly skinny and you wonder how they got picked. Don't get me started on James teeth. And the girls bodies...ugh. Why I quite like Janelle, she needs to lose about 10 to 15lbs and all the girls need to tone up. Everyone made a lot of comments about Holly's body 2 or 3 ep's back well she is perfection compared to these girls back sides. I don't think I would book any as underwear models.

Shows like this one and Idol crack me up. The kids who go on them constantly talk about how their lives have changed so dramatically. In all their youthful enthusiasm, they forget that it is temporary. For the months that they are in the competition their lives have changed but when the show ends, it's back to normal.

Ben, for example, may move to NYC but he won't be living in some posh house and hob-knobbing with posh people. He'll be struggling to make rent and running with all the other model wannabe's.

I hope these kids get some training about "life after the show".

It will be interesting to see which of the bunch do get signed. I'm especially curious about Ben and Perry because they could go either way. I think Ronnie will be picked up somewhere along the way.
