| Re: Make Me A Supermodel (US) Could Perry really be THAT starry-eyed (or is it s.t.u.p.i.d.) to not see through everything Amanda was (not) saying!?! I was embarassed for him ... she sure came across as a skank and he looked like a ![]() Did anybody else groan when Holly showed her shotgun skills after winning ... At first I thought she was dreaming of some squirrel gravy ... but then I saw she was aiming the 'gun' at the judges! What the heck was that about? Bizarre. Anyone happen to know what her fiance's career is, that he can up and follow her anywhere, anytime? As for Ben and April ... 3 months IS a long time to be apart when they are so young (remember, he's only 22). They have both grown and changed - having different experiences and not being able to have constant contact, have just lost that connection they originally had. He has in his eyes, and was asking April how she felt about living in a 'place like this.' Uh, Ben, reality check ... you will be living in a one room studio apartment 4 floor walkup in NYC for a pretty long time, most likely. I feel most sorry for April. She obviously loves him, and never imagined she would loose her honey when she agreed to the show. They COULD work it out, if they can be mature enough to lean on each other and grow and experience the new possibilites together.Ronnie ... I adore him ... I'm too biased to write much. He's a good kid with a big heart and an 'old soul' with much going for him. I was astounded to read the maturity of his diary writings on Make Me A Supermodel: Your Vote Decides! - Official Bravo TV Site compared to the other models. Interesting show ... I hope they do it again!

Oh course, Perry doesn't know about any of this because even though the producers brought him the Enquirer to read (and to be fair, they left it ambivalent enough that it COULD have been viewed as just friends hanging out) but her recent interviews don't leave any doubt to the imagination. So either Perry is going to blow a gasket when he finds out the truth, or he already knows and they both made a mutual decision (along with Bravo) to milk this for as much publicity as possible by staging this reunion of sorts to boost their own careers (Amanda is a actress/mdel/waitress as well). I'm leaning more towards option one because she seems like a sly one.

| Re: Make Me A Supermodel (US) I wonder what to make of this post by "Jana" from the comments following Holly's final diary entry on the show's Bravotv.com website? Quote:

| Re: Make Me A Supermodel (US) What, are we supposed to think "ooh, Holly UR WHORE?" For all this woman knows they might have a lot of self-control. It is possible. The impression that I got of Holly Kiser is that she's a very nice girl and a good model who worked hard in this competition. Whether she lives with her fiance and is a virgin or not is not going to change those things. "Jana" sounds like one of those bitter crabby people who can't wait to sling mud on anyone doing better than she is. |

| Re: Make Me A Supermodel (US) Ben what a nasty piece of work, for the benefit of those who don't have a psychology degree which I don't you need since the signs were so obvious. Those two are soooo going to split, his coolness and lack of affection contrasted to Holly and her fiance. Plus what the hell, he even asked the model for drink afterwards!!! |

I never voted this season because I always watched it after the voting window closed, but Holly would have had my vote. All season, I thought it would come down to Holly and Perry in the finale. I was shocked that Perry was the first one eliminated. I wish Holly luck with getting her career started. I agree with everyone else. Something seems off in Ben's interactions with his wife. It doesn't look good. I also hope Perry kicks Amanda's lying behind to the curb as soon as he gets back to LA and hears the real story.

As for Ben and April, I've dated guys before who were totally weird and uncomfortable for the first hour or so of reconnecting after a long separation but totally warmed up once they got past the awkwardness. Ben may just be one of those guys, and to have the reunion on camera after such a long absence would have amped that up. I have no idea whether they'll make it or not, but I wouldn't make any assumptions based on their reunion. (By the way, I didn't think that Ben meant the apartment when he asked could you live in a place like this. I thought he was talking about New York.) Edited to add: I forgot about the hitting on Jessica Stam part. Maybe I'm cutting Ben too much slack, after all.

| Re: Make Me A Supermodel (US) I usually really like Bravo reality shows. "Project Runway" and "Top Chef" are great because they pick people who actually have a talent. Sure some of the different relationships on the show make it a little more interesting but I'm more interested in how the people perform in the challenges. I never thought that the real premise of the show was to pick a supermodel. It was more of a "Big Brother" type thing. They put a bunch of young, good looking (more important, people who thought they were good looking) in a home together and then fanned the flames. The model part of it gave Bravo excuses to dress them up in sexy clothing and put them in pretty odd situations that they never would be in if not "modeling". I feel that Ronnie was told to run with the Ben thing. I don't think that in real life he would go for a straight, married, dumb, hillbilly prison guard. There were much better looking guys on the show that would have been more his type. Ben didn't make it to the end by accident (along with Ronnie). Bravo wanted them both there so we could all see Ben's marriage fall apart. Hey, it worked, I watched and I hated this show. |
