I can't stand Shannon. SHe has bad-mouthed and been mean all season as everyone seems to think she is the best model, and this week, she didn't perform, and she didn;t think she would get called out on if because she had been good before, you could tell that in the questions. What was so bad about Ronnie saying I've worked with her before, but there was no connection this time, she shut down and figured that Ronnie would take the fall...but she got caught and I really, really hope that she goes.

Personally I think Ben and Perry have the best looks and either of them should win.

Holly was great in the beginning, but lately she has started hanging around with Shannon so much that she is starting to sound and act like Shannon, bad mouthing and being mena to everyone else, like they have no chance of beating her. I am sorry, but the girls attitudes bother me more than anything else! They both need to go!! You don't have to be a witch to be agood model!

Ronnie, well, he's good but he doesn't have the ability to transend like Ben and Perry, he didn't do well on the Goth photo shoot because he is just to pretty boy for it. I think Ben and Perry have a much better chance, and they are both so much more to look at than any of the others.

To me, Holly DOES seem to have lost the sweetness/humbleness that she once seemed to have. I'd have to agree that she seems to be morphing into a short-haired, shorter version of Shannon, since she's hanging around her so much. For example, it REALLY set my teeth on edge when Holly would NOT leave Perry alone about tasting the turtle soup in the restaurant, then referred to him as a "wussy" when she finally gave up torturing him about it.

I'm no Perry fan, but, honey, the guy told you he was NOT going to taste the soup when you first asked him to; respect that and LEAVE HIM ALONE about it. And, no, to me, he didn't owe anyone any explanations (I HAVE a turtle!") about WHY he didn't want to taste it. Just take "No." for "No." and stop behaving like an eight-year-old bully on a schoolyard playground.

She's lucky it was Perry she'd been harrassing about that soup. If it'd been me, I probably would've slapped the spoon out of her hand, then dumped the bowl of it on her head for good measure (since she apparently didn't understand my English!). Yeah, I would've gotten kicked off the show --- and probably jailed for assault --- but I bet you Holly would've thought twice before badgering anybody else like that in the future!

And as for her commentary about her family eating squirrel gravy? So WHAT? It doesn't matter if you guys grew up noshing on glowworms! Not everybody did, so leave 'em alone.

I also agree that it doesn't take being a witch to be a good model. Matter of fact, it seems to me that if you ARE a witch, that info is going to get around very quickly in the fashion industry, and you probably are going to be one of those models sitting at home on the couch (to echo Bautista [sp?]) as a result.

Anyway, on to the Perry/Amanda stuff. I could be wrong but here's what I think:

TPTB might have been able to keep the contestants occupied enough that Perry wouldn't have found out for another week or so (which would place us near the end of the series). But I think that instead, TPTB saw the opportunity for drama and went for it.

I think they called Amanda and urged her to call Perry (but maybe also told her she could only talk to him for a minute, because God forbid she actually be able to say enough to pacify him for the time being). Then I think Tyson was charged with going to Perry and showing him the tabloid under the pretense that "I just wanted you to hear it from me before you hear it from someone else". I thought Tyson definitely looked like he really didn't want to be there saying that. He's not a very good actor. But, he was a man on a mission, AFAIC. And he certainly reinforced Perry's thought that the story must be true. ("Well, you know if it's your house, so if you say it is...") Although Tyson said it *was* a tabloid, I didn't really hear him say anything to make Perry think that the story might have been blown way out of proportion. Tyson could have said "Well, we don't know what really happened, so just chill out for now." But then that would have defeated Bravo's purpose, IMHO. Way to work an opportunity, Bravo!

"Just for next week, there will only be a bottom 2." What does that mean? That we're reaching the finale and there is no more voting? I love how they make up these rules on the fly.

As for Ben: I wish we saw more footage, because I think Ben delivers the same look each time, much like the criticism they had of Perry. But the judges said he showed more range of expression this week. I guess I missed that part.

And okay, Ben had a shoot this week that *worked* for someone who is stiff. But just because he lucked into a shoot that was not hurt by his stiffness, does that really mean he's improving? I'm confused, honestly.

I still love Holly and would like to see her win. Also, although I hated Shannon at first, with her strangely elongated limbs and weird face, I've changed my tune. I like her business-like attitude, even if it was kind of missing this week. And her face can telegraph very young or very old, depending on the clothing and makeup. I just find that remarkable, when I look at her. Her height might be problematic in some situations, but I really think her face makes her very versatile.

ETA: Didn't Perry's girlfriend call earlier in the series, accusing Perry of being with some other girl? The plot thickens.

ack! help. I'm up on some of these lingo things... but you gotta help me out and spell a few of these out for me. There seem to be whole sentances I can't figure out/ Sorry

Isn't there an experiment where you put mice together in a crowded container...before long they start killing each other?

I once thought MMAS would not turn into an ANTM type of show where the people turn catty at each other, but I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part. Everyone's competing for one spot so I guess it makes sense that they start turning on each other sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised if the future confessionals would include Holly back-stabbing Shannon and vice versa (if Shannon gets voted in).

All the calls they showed were annoyingly vague. She would never give a straight answer but just said they "need to talk" after the show. At the time I thought they may have cooked this up between them beforehand to give Perry more exposure on the show. He doesn't seem genuinely upset. But whether the plot came from Perry & girlfriend (who does not look hot or like a model in that photo, btw!), or from the show's producers, it was all handled very blatantly. Either let this be a competition show or a least-common-denominator trashy reality show, but when they try to blend the two it becomes unbalanced. Now he seems to be there because of the drama factor, not through any talent of his own. (I do think he has a strong look and is very funny, but do not like his jerkish personality.)

TPTB = The powers that be. The decision-makers (show producers, writers, whatever) working behind the scenes and influencing what we see (or don't see) on a show.

AFAIC = As far as I'm concerned. It's cousin is AFAIK (As far as I know).

IMHO = In my humble opinion. Variations include JMO (Just my opinion) and IMO (In my opinion).

Shannon surprised me last night with her defensiveness but I thought her picture reclined on the ground was quite nice. I suppose she and ronnie were the weakest though. At this point it is splitting hairs.

If the judges focus on personality I think Perry is going to win. The comments about holly's voice and demeanor made me think this could happen. I think Holly is amazingly beautiful and photogenic in an awesome way but her personality is a bit bland. Other supermodels have annoying voices: Claudia Schiffer, and Heidi Klum are two examples so I'm not sure why this is important.

No, there isn't a VOTW site for MMASM, or it could just be MYSPACE. I kid, I kid.

At this point, the final 2 contestants will be [[Holly and Perry]]. TPTB have made it appearant to me, at least that they're pulling for those two to make it into the finals and they're willing to do anything to make sure that [[Perry and Holly]] do not end up in the bottom at all in the final weeks of the competition. TPTB were absolutely shocked that Benjaya made it for another week, yet they praise him for being able to look like a corpse?!

How hard is it to look like a corpse, when you're already appear deadlike as it is?

I see. This is the AI exit strategy. Damn them with feint praise, so their loyal supporters don't get all riled up. If that's the plan, Ben's in the bottom two next week with a "you've improved so much" against the survivor of Shannon/Ronnie.
