It's official, Calgary is the final city that will host auditions, no big show there. I'm totally excited to see CNTM's Tara and if she'll make the show. I'm sure she will.

Here's the audition schedule and details. Are any of you auditioning or know anyone who will be? This show is going to be amazing!

OK I know I'm kind of the only one excited for this show to start but...

Leah Miller from Much On Demand has been named as the host for SYTYCDC.

"There are going to be more dance styles represented on So You Think You Can Dance Canada than on its American counterpart. This is, in part, meant to reflect the wider cultural diversity of the nation and to give the two permanent judges -- Toronto funk/contemporary ace Tré Armstrong and Montreal ballroom champ Jean Marc Genereux -- more of a challenge. The third judge seat will be shared by urban choreographer Luther Brown (P Diddy, Alicia Keys), So You Think You Can Dance Season 1 finalist Blake McGrath and National Ballet of Canada artist-in-residence Rex Harrington. Assorted guest judges will also sit in on the regional auditions, which take place tomorrow in Vancouver and in Halifax (May 5), Calgary (May 12), Montreal (May 27) and Toronto (June 10)."

    Thanks for posting on this.

I'm really looking forward to any news/pics/confirmation of Tara's audition.

I'm very excited for this season to start.
Although I love the commercial and make a point of watching it if I'm surfing channels and happen to see it's on, I kind of wish I didn't know it was coming.
They're still advertising audition dates and venues which makes it seem like ages until we'll actually see the show.
The only thing I'm not too excited about it Leah Miller, I'm just not too fond of her.

    Anyone watched the show yesterday??

I liked that they focused so much on the good auditions. Can't wait to see more!

I watched it and thought it was a really strong show.
Some great performers right out of the gate.
Of course I didn't bother to take any names, I assumed my old memory wouldn't fail me. Unfortunately it did.

I agree, it looks promising! I also can't remember any names but some have impressed me.

Did you like the spandex guy (spandy????) tonight?

Well I wonder if Emmanuel Sandhu will make it to the top 20, based on his edit I'd say yes. JMO.

Emmanuel seemed to learn from the advice the judges gave him.
Even to my untrained eye he came back as a better and more humble dancer.

I thought the twins last night were wonderful as was the guy in the strange pants dancing with the wool cap. I think the judges often go a little overboard wth their praise, but felt those performers were worth the accolades. Wonderful dancing.

I was a little bemused by Mia saying that one guy was the best b-boy she's ever seen.
I thought he was good, but I wasn't that impressed.
Hopefully he'll be featured again so I cna try to see what Mia saw.
