I'm not so sure of that. I think Kris J will do anything to keep her family in the spotlight. Bad press or not. She obviously doesn't have a clue as to what the difference is. If it's televised, and that's no uncommon in Cali, I think Kris J will try to find away cash in on it. She just can't help herself.

Crazy as I know I'm about to sound, I agree with BOTH of you and can actually see this going in either of the directions that you've pointed out.

I don't think there's any doubt at ALL that Kim's ignorance has plunged her and her family into a nightmare backlash of bad, bad press. I mean, while neither she OR Kris H is the brightest bulb on the Xmas tree, Kim & Co., IMHO, have come out of this mess looking a WHOLE lot worse that Kris H.

And no, I don't think Kim --- or, ESPECIALLY, Kris J --- want the background of that mess to be picked apart in a courtroom of law, for everybody and his brother to see. People can and do lie under oath, but I believe it's also possible that enough valid behind-the-scenes facts could emerge that would irreparably damage the Kardashian "brand". And that threat alone would be enough for Kim & Co. to want to pay Kris H a handsome sum to go away.

    OTOH . . .

    Kris J is a dyed-in-the-wool, attention-grabbing, money-grubbing opportunist.

Even at the expense of her family.

I absolutely believe that if the judge ruled in favor of televising the hearing, I can almost hear and see Kris J saying something to the effect of:

"Oh. Well. So much for that. Now, how do we go about using this to make money and keep our brand out there?"

I mean, let's face it: She's the manager of everyone in her family, and she gets a 10 per-cent cut of every dime that they make.

With her, money talks, and bull$h*t walks.

Even at the expense of her family.

    Interesting claims from team humphries...

I actually hope this does NOT go to trial particularly tv trial, as I hate to give the Kardashians any more attention spot light than necessary. According to the Today show Pop Culture team, the Kardashians are yesterday news.

Kris Jenner is now the new spokesperson for a line of "arousal oils." I didn't know they could make an oil that smelled like cold hard cash, and clearly, that's what gets the ol' Momager more excited than anything else.

Can you imagine being her teenage daughters and having your mom out there hawking arousal oils? Somehow I can't see Bruce, who's more conservative than the rest of the clan, being all that happy about it either.

I couldn't imagine that flying in my family but for some reason I see this as fitting in as a dinner time conversation in this family. Bruce may not be cool with it but I don't think the daughters especially Kim would care. I mean really who is Kim to say anything. She's who she is now solely because she had a porn out there.

I wasn't thinking of the older girls so much as Kendall and Kylie. They're like sixteen and fourteen, right? Last we knew, they were still attending some sort of high school, unless that has changed now that they're into modeling. I was thinking of the crap they may already be hearing from other teenagers because of what goes on in their family. Having a mom who sells a product that's literally called "arousal oils" and who's on television talking about it would just make it worse. Besides, what teenager wants to think of his/her mom slathering arousal oil all over herself to entice his/her dad? But then, after Kris secretly slipping Viagra into Bruce's coffee (and Rob getting it by accident and ending up in the hospital), I suppose arousal oils are mild by comparison. Bruce should have been much more furious with her about that and Rob should have been too, considering that he ended up in the hospital, swearing up and down he hadn't taken Viagra, when, indeed, he hadn't--he'd been slipped it. You just don't secretly drug anyone with anything--it's manipulative and dangerous. Since that whole incident was televised as part of a show that Kendall and Kylie were/are on, perhaps they've grown very thick skins with regard to their mom's ridiculous behavior. Seriously, I think the woman has some issues with aging. Not that anyone necessarily likes it, but lately she seems to be trying desperately to be thought of as her daughters' contemporary rather than their mother.

Re: Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Now with Kris J. pimping arousal cream, I am constantly amazed that this whole family has pretty much no boundaries concerning what they'll say or do in front of the public. The only possible exception is Bruce, who seems appropriately horrified by some of the antics of the family, but he is unfortunately powerless to do anything to rein them in.

Sometimes their antics are great entertainment for the public, but mostly, their behavior is just offensive. The only thing that I can say that might be in their possible defense, is that the Kardashians are not alone in their outrageousness. It seems that the public can't get enough of outrageous behavior on the part of celebrities, sports pros, 'regular' people who choose to go in front of the public (on reality shows, on YouTube, or the like), and do their shocking stuff. Even politicians, nowadays! And what's possibly even worse, are the 'haters' who venomously respond to all of this stuff - like on the internet!

I just scratch my head and wonder how we have come to this point, and even scarier, how far this is going to go in the future. . .

Re: Keeping Up With the Kardashians

I wonder if Kris agreeing to endorse arousal oils indicates that perhaps she can't get endorsements for more mainstream products. I mean, I would guess it's more profitable to be a spokesperson for a product that has a more obvious, established market and that's potentially used by more consumers. I have no idea how many people use arousal oils, but I suspect it's less than the number of people who use things like paper towels or orange juice.

If that's the case, maybe it indicates that the Kardashians aren't quite as marketable as they once were. Or at least that Kris, for all her need to think she is, isn't as valuable as a spokesperson as her kids are.

And yeah, I really wish Bruce would take more of a firm stand when he's upset by what's going on. He can't do anything about what choices the older girls make, but he could be a stronger presence in Kylie and Kendall's lives, though I do give him credit for occasionally trying, which is more than Kris does. He did actually tell Kendall "no" when she wanted a tattoo, and part of the reason she decided not to, according to her, was that she knew it would disappoint him if she did. He also insisted that there would be no alcohol at Kendall's sweet sixteen for the quite logical reason that she's not old enough to drink legally....and meanwhile, Kris is there trying to sneak a bottle in for herself.

Okay, I have never seen any of the Kardashian's shows, but this Viagra incident just blows my mind!!! They ACTUALLY filmed Rob at the hospital after he drank the coffee with Viagra in it? How old was he at the time?

As for Kris Jenner being a spokewoman for arousal oils, I must agree that the endorsement offers are starting to dry up for her and hopefully soon for the rest of the clan. This family is constantly trying to reinvent themselves. LOL. I recently saw where LeAnn Rimes and Kim K have become good friends. There was a picture of LeAnn and Eddie walking into a hotel to attend a "church" service there, and it is the same "church" that Kim K attends. Kim has even tweeted LeAnn about starting a bible study. LOL. Well, as the old saying goes: "Birds of a feather flock together". Both of these women have a lot in common.

Yes, they taped it. Kris had been sneaking Viagra into Bruce's coffee without his knowledge. They didn't, thank goodness, "show" the result of that, but they certainly hinted strongly that it was working to Kris's complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, one morning Rob grabbed the wrong coffee cup and ended up in the hospital. Again, thank goodness, they didn't "show" that result either, but they did tape Rob at the hospital, they did discuss it, and everyone, most particularly Rob, who knew he hadn't taken any Viagra willingly, was completely confused until Kris 'fessed up. IMO, both men should have been much more angry at her than they were, as they were both publicly embarrassed by it (because, let's face it, if Kris was sneaking it into her husband's coffee, that's pretty much saying she thought Bruce's performance needed to be enhanced) and potentially endangered by her, since she had no idea how either one of them would react to the drug and they didn't know they were taking it. I presume before a doctor prescribes Viagra, he/she is better informed about the patient and the patient is better informed about the potential side effects. I don't know how old Rob was at the time, but he couldn't have been more than in his early twenties.

It does not particularly surprise me that Kim is tweeting about a Bible study. She surely knows her reputation has taken a hit and tweeting about attending a Bible study makes her look better than tweeting about attending another party. I know I'm being cynical and it's possible she really is religious, but so little about that family seems "real" that it's hard to take her religious beliefs as being particularly sincere.
