Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network I'm really excited for this show. Especially Alton. I've seen John Besh numerous times both on Iron Chef America and as a competitor and a judge in several of the Food Network's other competition shows.

| Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network I am actually looking forward to this as season 3 of Top chef was so disappointing.

Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network eG Forums -> Batali, Food Network, and Iron Chef: Summary Here is the egullet thread with several articles about it. I read it first on a news source that quoted the NY Post. Apparently, someone is leaving--I suspect Morimoto will leave.

Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network Morimoto? Thought you said that word was that Mario was leaving. Are they both leaving? I guess I can see that (because they are busy) but dang... I don't like Cat! The new people would have to be excellent to get me to keep watching because Bobby isn't on enough. I think its just adding another chef because they have multiple shows and their own restaurants to run and its probably just too much and they just need another chef to take some of the load off.

Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network The only one I've read about is Mario. Flay's site says that someone is leaving, but doesn't say who. My feeling, from watching him on both versions, is that Morimoto and his cooking don't fit the Food Network mold. He doesn't have many battles, he often loses, and he doesn't like to lose. That is just my personal opinion, and I will be happy to be proved wrong. He is also the only one of the chefs whose cookbook I have purchased.

Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network If I tallied the wins right, it's Cora 8-5-0 Flay 15-7-2 Batali 16-4-0 Morimoto 7-6-1 Morimoto hasn't appeared in any of this new season's episodes, but there have only been 5. Flay and Batali are my favorites because they both have a good sense of humor which sometimes comes out in the interplay with Alton.
