Richard Blais most definitely competed on Iron Chef and he was on Top Chef. I'm pretty sure there are more but I don't know who.

Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network

I just went to the Iron Chef site and looked it up.

Season 1 of Next Iron Chef had the following contestants who also competed in Iron Chef (oddly enough these 4 were my favorites from the very first show till the end):

    Batali vs. Cosentino
    Batali vs. Besh
    Morimoto vs. Symon
    Morimoto vs. Sanchez

    Season 2 has:

    Batali vs. Trevino
    Flay vs. Garces
    Symon vs. Appleman
    Flay vs. Freitag
    Morimoto vs. Mehta

So actually season two of the Next Iron Chef has more contestants that have actually competed in Kitchen Stadium.

And then you have Batali vs. Blais I think that is the only Top Chef contestant who has been in Kitchen Stadium. I didn't recognize any of the other names so if somebody else wants to go take a look, maybe you'll find more.

Shows : Iron Chef America : Food Network go here to see all the episode guides and the names of the contestants on each one.

I was sorry to see Freitag go, but Mehta, my first pick, is still in the running. The Latina judge is heavily biased towards the Latino chef, however, so Mehta will have to work extra hard in the finale. I thought they chose the right one to go home this week, as Mullin may have made good food, but viewers can't taste the food, and the TV chefs have to have more in the personality department to be memorable.

Chef Mehta kinda turned me off last night with some of the things he said. I was rooting for Chef Mullen, but completely understood why they let him go...

I missed a few parts of last night's episode, did anyone say what was wrong with Chef Mullen's leg?

He has rheumatoid arthritis. My sister has this and it is very painful. Generally the person is on a lot of medication.

Me too. Freitag/vs Flay was one of my favorite episode. Plus, Ariann from the last season of Top Chef was her sous.

I'm rooting for Chef Garces to win. I like Chef Mehta but I think Garces would be a better fit for the show.
