His bio on FN just says that he revitalized the Cleveland palate, not sure that Cleveland is a POV lol. His cookbook says that he cooks "heritage" food that is based on his Greek-Italian-Eastern European heritage. Not sure "heritage" is a POV either.

| Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network - Alton needs to wear a shock collar and get zapped every time he says "bring [something] to the party" !!! - That Appleman guy was a jerk. When he wanted to steal all the ingredients so everyone else would fail, and then wonders why he isn't being considered anymore, well, he needs to read up on good sportsmanship. They are choosing for personality as well as cooking talent. - The Indian guest judge in the first challenge was a colossal jerk. I want to use another word, but I don't know if it's allowed here. |

| Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network I am fairly sure that Frietag will win, and I'm ok with that. I didn't/don't like her on Chopped, but see a softer, more human side on TNIC. My personal favorite is Mullen (because I like the name Seamus and I think he is cute - aren't those the right reasons? ) but I will be shocked if he wins. I will be shocked if anyone but Frietag wins.

I wouldn't mind Mullen winning either, didn't like him at all in the beginning. Same with Freitag but he's grown on me. I want her to win because they have too many men on there and would love to see another female IC.

| Re: The Next Iron Chef - Food Network I'm late to the party since I've only seen one episode ("Cranberries") via youtube. Initially I thought the format was too hokey and campy, but I really liked the competition and cooking parts of the show. OK, I admit that I only checked it out due to Marrrrrio. ![]() If I had cable, I might watch it just for the C & C. I liked Mark on DWTS and am sorry to see him gone. One by one, they have picked off my faves this season. Silly judges and voters, thinking that it's a dancing competition. ![]() Can anyone please fill me in on what happened in 2007 when Mario wasn't part of the judging? I searched this thread and saw some comments that didn't elaborate.
