| Re: Nashville Had no idea this was coming on. It being on now (right this very second) is actually news to me. But flipping in the early September TV wasteland summoned it up, and not much else. Seems interesting though. Very un-FOX-like. Except... uggh. Terry Bradshaw's kid is one of the hopefuls? Come on. The fix is in FOX. Would she even be on this show if he wasn't a well paid FOX employee? Not saying she'll be the one who gets a music contract, but her merely being on this show is kind of telling.

| Re: Nashville This is not the typical life that aspiring singers/songwriters have when they come to Nashville. Alan Jackson worked in the mail room at Opryland. Garth Brooks sold shoes. This is too funny. I'm enjoying the shots of Nashville however. ![]()

| Re: Nashville My niece used to work at Opryland. She left and ended up working with mentally challenged adults at a group home. She used to take the folks on outings - bowling etc. She took them to Opryland once. Through her contacts there she took them on a tour of the Opry House. One of her clients had always said she wanted to sing on the stage there. My niece told her to get up on the stage and do it, so she did. The manager of the Opry heard her and came out to listen. He ended up giving her a certificate that they give everyone who performs on the Opry certifying that she had appeared on stage along with a photo. Too cool. ETA Mika's band back home in Ky. | Re: Nashville I watched it, Unk... and it was actually nice. This is what The Real World was originally meant to be. Rachel.... immature and whiny... never good for attracting guys. Especially the slimy manwhores like Clint. Mika is gorgeous, but the wide-eyed innocent kewpie doll look is only going to get her so far. Chuck Wicks... hottie little Matt Leinart lookalike. Hope we see him very soon. ![]() I'll watch this one again.. I enjoyed it. |

| Re: Nashville I'll be watching again too, even though it's phony as all get out IMHO. I went to school at Belmont, which is where Rachel goes to college.
