Strange.
My husband's least favorite color is purple, and my least favorite color is orange... but they seem to be the "in" thing now. I guess I won't be following the trend.
And I agree with those who posted about not liking red. I would never paint a room red. It seems too bordello.

Every time I see Donna & Shannon on Designed to Sell or Secrets that Sell, they are telling people to get rid of their red walls.

But I can see why Jennifer and Matt used Red in the final challenge... their homeowners asked for it.
(Too bad the kitchen remodel homeowners in one of the previous episodes didn't get their red wish).

I have some of that in my house along with red, blue and purple. I don't mean major things like walls or sofas but I do love to accent with color(pillows, glassware, candles etc...) The only no-no for me is pink.

Its one thing to really personalized your home when you are living in it with really strong colors but when it comes to selling it is always, neutralize, declutter and clean.

My gut says that Jennifer will win. Anyone else care to venture a guess?

I think your gut is right, although I am hoping it is not.
Jennifer seems to appeal more to middle America and to women and teenagers. They are the ones who vote. I think they're both talented, but I'd like a more instructional type show on HGTV that offers some design solutions, instead of just painting another wall. Also, I just don't think I could watch Jen every week. Sorry, but something about her is just off putting to me.

In that recent color special, David Bromstead did a living room with orange and teal. It did not look fresh; it looked like the colors of a Howard Johnson's from the 60s. It would be very hard to use orange without looking 60s/70s retro.

I'm a woman and I didn't vote for her. And I DID vote.

Me, too.

I think she's cute, and her design stuff is OK (neither of them wowed me), but I don't like her hosting style at all. She talks like a little girl and acts all squirmy.

She is very open and charming, and maybe she could learn to do a better job, but right now, she gets on my nerves. I find Matt to be much easier to watch and listen to, and I think he could do an interesting show on solving problems.

Oh I totally agree. Jennifer's hosting style would grate on my nerves quickly whereas Matt has has a much more appealing way about him.
