| Re: Design Star I'm also 5' tall...I'm the one asking people with long arms at the grocery to get down the caffeine free diet pepsi 2-liter bottles from the top shelf. I would truly appreciate NO upper cabinets. The ones in my apartment go up to the ten foot ceiling and I can only reach the first shelf without a step ladder. I've always rented and always will, but I've also always been a floorplan and design junkie. That is why I love HGTV shows and look forward to Design Star each season. I've printed out my favorite floorplan (Craftsman Showoff - SDC-007) from the website and, since it is a craftsman - my favorite house design - have planned out where I would place the built-ins for the library-study. Way off topic - but it is about dreams...I've always wanted my own washer/dryer. There I said it. LOL

I actually commend M for listening and not putting upper cabinets on both sides. I could see him trying to balance it out with some, though, as he didn't have time to do extensive remodeling and be more clever. I voted for him. I can't forgive painting that beautiful table. | |

| Re: Design Star I thought we could vote through today, but I don't see the voting thing anymore. What is with all these people liking red, "merlot," etc? (Hubby saw that "merlot" wall and wanted me to not vote for Matt, but I explained it was the owner's wife's excreble taste and he was just giving her what she wanted.) I am just watching a 2 hr. color special w/ David Bromstead, and the first couple wants a red backsplash in their kitchen. I am so sick of everyone choosing the same barfy color! That is my least favorite color, and the last 4 times I've seen them do a kitchen on that network, guess what color the people want? |

ETA: Oops. I just noticed that someone else already answered and actually gave you some useful info. I thought I had seen all the responses, but I missed that one.

| Re: Design Star I agree. I told my husband that whoever got to pick first would choose Mikey V for his carpenter skills as carpentry skills are usually most needed the first day. I was surprised and impressed that Matt let Jenn have him. |
