| Re: Design Star I agree that they rush through these seasons of Design Star. You would think the network would want to spend a little more time on their decision to hire a host for one of their shows. I bet the interview process for a regular applicant for the job takes much longer than this show is broadcast.

| Re: Design Star I'm wondering what was done with the tile that was bought for the backsplash. That kitchen was crap both before and after the work. They should be ashamed...especially Tracee being out shopping for 7 hours and not benefitting the redo at all. How could she possibly try to defend her actions? And I am not bothered by Matt's hosting tapes. I thought he did a pretty good job. He might be a little stiff right now, but I think with experience and time in front of the camera, he would relax and get into the flow.

| Re: Design Star I don't get why they thought Matt's hosting skills were not good. I enjoy Matt, and Mikey V. My husband has said since the first episode this season that one of the women would win. I asked why, and he said look who has won the past season's, and they need to go with their viewer demographics. That means they need a caucasian woman to win. I laughed. He picked Trish right away.

| Re: Design Star I haven't seen last night's episode yet (have it taped), but I really don't understand why they're still doing team projects at this point. Hasn't there been only one individual challenge at this point? I also don't understand why shows like this and the Next Food Network Star show don't give the contestants a day or two of hosting training and practice before the shows even start. It's a skill that can be learned much more quickly than design (or cooking) skills. David Bromstad, the first-year winner, wasn't the best in terms of hosting, but he's become a great host - very comfortable doing it. |

| Re: Design Star I am on vacation and didn't get to watch. I don't see anyone mentioning the ambulence. As I thought it was a big nothing, correct? |

| Re: Design Star Trish had to have her wedding ring cut off from an injury received in the first challenge; sounds like it was pressing on nerves due to swelling. FD cut it off; no ambulance required.

| Re: Design Star I don't understand why they called the fire department to cut off the ring. Why didn't they just take her to a doc-in-the-box or the local emergency room after they were finished for the day's shooting? A lot of unnecessary drama. Let's hope the show made a nice contribution to the fire department. Seems like a doctor should have looked at it anyway - maybe a splint or something. |

I wish the network had a fan favorite vote. Mikey V would win based on his too-early removal, at least I'd vote for him.

As for Tracee, she obviously needed to go for many reasons, but I do not like that they jumped all over her at judging, especially that bitch Trish and Vern (I guess I should say those bitches), and no one even let her finish her sentences. I still say, no matter how bad Tracee was, the others came across worse in the way they treated her. Even the show edit of the "previouslys" showed Tracee being accused of "throwing her teammates under the bus," but it did not show that Trish and the blond kid were attacking her relentlessly in that first challenge. Matt is the only contestant left that I never saw sniping at her. The judge Cynthia is not very camera-genic. When she told a contestant to smile more, I think she was repeating what some consultant must have told her, but her constant, creepy squint-and-smile was not helping. | |
