| Re: Design Star In all fairness, Michael's room was a fair visualization of a nightclub in Barcelona, but unless you actually have visited one you would not immediately associate his room with that. When I think of Basrcelona and Spain I think very ornate and Baroque. I think the fact that he was the only one who actually picked his destination (as opposed to having one assigned) combined with his immaturity led to him getting Das Boot. I don't like Tracee either but he took it to a level that was absolutely vicious. Mikey Vs room was more "Asian inspired" than Thai. And the calligraphy was horrible; better to have left that out. It's interesting though; the most memorable rooms to me were the ones that Stephanie, Matt, and the other lady who had Italy as a destination designed. |

| Re: Design Star As you say, prhoshay, Michael's cattiness and bitchiness was entertaining to a point, but I am glad to see him go. Yes, his meltdown at judging was uncomfortable. I mean, what did he think was going to happen...if he cried and cried and said "I'm so sorry" over and over, the judges would change their mind and send someone else home? And, I'm sorry but his "I want my mommy" mantra in the elevator had me ![]() He was the youngest there by far, and I think that showed in how he handled his elimination. | |

| Re: Design Star His boo-hoo-hooing had me laughing out loud, too, from the moment he started! ![]()

| Re: Design Star Same here! It was all the better since he thought he had the win too. Boasting how he was done much earlier than others, how his design was spot on, etc. made his crash and burn all that more delightful to watch! |

| Re: Design Star I didn't like Michael from day 1, so I was not unhappy to see him go, but his blubbering was a little much. Get a grip dude... people get kicked off every week. And he was clearly delusional when he kept proclaiming that he was going to win - did he forget that WE the viewers determine the winner?? Declaring yourself the winner is NOT a way to win public support for your ambition. I sure hope that next week the designers step it up and come up with some good designs. This week was very disappointing, and I think that the judges felt let down too. |

| Re: Design Star I really thought they should do a double elimination. Tracee really has to go. In the first two challenges, she proved not to be a team player and in the first individual challenge, she proved that she's just not a very good designer. As much as Michael had to go, at least his design didn't look like the set of the Italian version of Blue's Clues. |

| Re: Design Star Michael was obnoxious from the beginning and probably the reason he was picked to be on the show. He's young and full of himself - always a bad combination - can anyone say Steve from Top Chef?? LOL Glad to see Michael go but I was floored that it wasn't Tracee. She is next in line I hope. Blue's Clues!!! LOL Yes, Definitely! ![]() I must say that I loved that yellow handpainted room!! LOVED IT! |
