And if Kim wins, there are hosting jobs that do not involve design skill - such as House Hunters, or If These Walls Could Talk...etc. She is a wonderful personality for the camera. If Todd wins, HGTV is going to have to come up with a whole new category of show. More than a carpenter fix it show, but less than Devine Design, perhaps COMMUNITY PROJECTS since with Vern Yipp HGTV is branching out into the Deserving Families area of home improvement. Todd's show could take on the large community projects such as YMCA's, community gardens and even homeless shelters and soup kitchens. It could work. Now that I've got everyone slotted, I'm happy.

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I think they all did a great job. I do think that Will is a class act. His exit speech was great. A note to Robb... that is the way you are supposed to act. I figured it would be a Todd/ Kim final. I think if the blonde judges facial expressions hold true Todd will win because of how he looks. She practically drools at him every judging session. I wonder if she realizes that she is doing that???? I just had a bad thought. Last year the last two kicked off came back to help the finalists. That would mean Robb would be back. Gosh, I hope they don't do that! It should be interesting!!!! |

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 Oh no, Mcksmom.... oh no oh no oh no, you are probably right! I don't want to see Robb again.. and whoever he got paired with would be at a serious disadvantage. Hopefully they pair him with Todd again because 1) Todd has shown that he can neutralize Robb, and 2) Will and Kim haven't yet been paired up. Quote:

I'm rooting for Kim. I like her style and her hosting skills are very natural and exuberant. I think she'd be great. And, she would give HGTV a demographic that they really haven't yet tapped... a black designer. The woman from Mission: Organization is just a host, so Kim would be fabulous.

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 There's the title for Todd's show: Radical Design! I love David's show. He has a co-host to help with the on air work. She helps with colors and textures, too. It's a nice show. Re: Will/Josh show - It appears a lot of viewers felt the same thing from the get-go. I've been reading, and posting here, those kind of comments on the network's website. I wonder if anyone there is paying attention? I'm voting for Kim. She's adorable. Yikes! If Robb is brought back he could sabotage Kim's project like Julia to Bonnie did on Hell's Kitchen. Hopefully TPTB won't ask him back. He doesn't deserve anymoe air time.

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I personally will vote for Kim. I think Todd's designs are not practical for everyday living. Sure he gave those people lots of seating, but didn't then focus the seating on the tv--which is what they said they do. I understand a lot of designers don't like to face the furniture towards the tv, but in this case it was also facing the fireplace which is considered perfectly acceptable. The WV family was so thrilled with their room, as well as the CA girl. (I can't remember their names at all!) I loved what Will said about meeting her and how it completely changed his perspective on life. Too bad more of his personality didn't show through on the screen. Kim, however, is a natural, and has enough natural ability that I think she can carry a show. I know things didn't exactly turn out the way Todd wanted them to, but he sure complained about it, much more I thought than Kim did. She mentioned it but IMO seemed to deal with her problems better. |

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I did the same thing, although my vote seems to be the kiss of death. I liked Vern's comments. He seems to be the only one who says both the positives and the negatives. I think he is the one who has reservations about Todd. The female judge simply wants his phone number ![]() |

And while I like David's show, I think the co-host is unnecessary. It seem slike she only there for him to explain things to while she looks through the same group of color chips
