| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I can't believe Todd made it through. Wasn't he listening when the family told him how precious the family's time together is and that they like to spend that precious time gathered together in the family room to watch movies? There are 14 people in the family. Only 4 seats faced the tv. You know the family had to figure out how to re-arranged the furniture the moment Todd stepped out the door. That the client would have to re-arrange the furniture themselves to get their needs met is a major failing by Todd, IMO. |

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I don't think Todd listens to anyone but the voices in his head. In my very humble opinion, Todd is a moron.

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 Just my opinion here, but with mostly women watching, does Kim even have a chance in the final? I suppose Todd could bomb with another "action" room, but, will the viewers vote substance over eye candy? |

If the blonde judge is any indication, Todd will win it in a landslide. If we judge by this forum, Kim will win in a landslide, which I think will happen. Sure she needs help here and there, but her on-screen talent is undeniable. Nemeses hit the nail on the perverbial head - Todd lives in his own world. His room was too crowded with that overgrown sofa set. How in the world are they supposed to watch TV? I see some serious neck straining in their future. I hope a lot of folks vote for Kim.

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I agree with all of the above comments. ![]() The only thing that I think Kim should have done differently is offered her family slipcovers for the furniture. She was shown that the hubby tracks in dirt thanks to his job... so washable slipcovers would have been a fabulous idea that would have taken him into account. ![]() |

The only eye candy I've seen on this season has been Vern and Sparkle Josh. ![]()

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 I haven't been able to see it yet because the digital cable de-digitalized last evening. I don't know from the heat or what...anyway I went to HGTV hoping for the full episode this morning and immediately ran into spoilers. Oh, well. So, I watched David's Vlog for this challenge and wow, is he becoming Tim Gunn without the suit (or shirt for that matter) or what! There was phrasing he used in the last minute that was soooo Tim. He sure didn't have a favorite this time around, but found ways to compliment and critize each of the three. I think HGTV is running a marathon today - maybe I can catch up - or maybe I'll only see streaks and slices of color where a picture should be. *sigh*

| Re: Design Star - Season 2 This year I think the judges are looking for someone with on air personality because they feel this is the area which is the hardest to teach. David, winner of season one, has great design, but lacks the hosting skills even after almost one season of having his own show. Kim definately has it, Will was lacking. Therefore, a Kim/Todd finally. I like Todds designs but if he had his own show, there is nothing I could take and use in my own home and his hosting would be irritating after just a few shows. My final vote will go to Kim unless for some reason she messes up the final challenge. If HGTV was smart, they would consider a Will/Sparkle Josh show. Together they are more entertaining than any individual. Sparkle Josh would be a great host and Will would bring great design. |
