Scott Baio is 45...and Single - Page 18

Scott is self involved, selfish and immature. Very boring to watch his show and hear his thoughts. He acts like he's the first 46 year old man to ever get somebody pregnant.

Anybody else wonder just how that happened? I mean that would seem obvious, but these two arent kids and surely they know about birth control? Just wondering if she got pregnant on purpose.

I love how Renee said that he has NEVER cheated on her. He probably has but she doesn't know about it. She seems pretty sure of herself and thinks she can be "the one" to tame him. She doesn't understand that you cannot change anyone and she is going to be raising that baby alone while Scott Baio runs around with gayish Johnny V.

The relationship between Scott and Renee seems so empty. She obviously is marrying him because of who he is. He doesn't seem to be able to have empathy for others. Kind of sad that he has to visit a 5th grade teacher to find out how to love his child.

Actually it was weird. I swear I have seen that nun before. She looks like a cast member from "The Suite life of Zack and Cody".(yeah a have a 4 yr old! LOL) I hope that some of his attitude is just for the show because I can't believe a grown woman would want to marry someone who expresses so openly that he doesn't really care about her. How sad for Rene and the baby.

I think that Scott cares about Renee in the only way he knows how to. Now, that doesn't mean it is "caring" as the rest of us would see it. He's just really caught up in himself and seems to me to be a bit of a lost soul. In season 1, when he said (was it to Doc Allie?) that he didn't know who is would be without a gorgeous blonde on his arm, I think he meant it, and that is very telling. To me, that is the answer to why he would allow Johnny V, the leech, to be such a huge part of his life. If Scott had a solid identity and was confident in himself, I don't think he would enable Johnny like he does.
It's sad for Renee, but at the same time, she also had the time that they were apart (during Season 1) to think about everything, and she decided that she wants to marry him.
I do wonder, though, as was mentioned in a post above, how/why she so conveniently managed to get pregnant.

I felt like he was acting for sure during his crying scene. He wasn't crying because he cared about being a good father, rather that he is going to lose the life he thinks he used to have..

I don't know that it was on purpose. Is Scott such a great catch that any woman would want to trap him? My guess is that like most men, Scott doesn't like condoms. Supposedly they're monogamous

so she probably didn't push the issue...and bammo. Not sure how old she is (40ish?), but maybe she thought she couldn't have any more kids?

And the cynical part of me says that they did this for the show!

I hope they take good care of the baby even after they divorce.
