Re: Farmer Wants a Wife

I got this from Brooke's myspace "About Me" secation... Here's part of it:

WELL WELL WELL! It's finally all said and done and we can all get back to reality HA! What a funny word... just what IS reality? It's definitely not everything you see in a tv show, but I will say that I am sooo glad that I did a reality show because I met the most amazing man! Yes, I moved to LA for acting, which led me to Farmer, which led me to Matt... and I went into it with an open heart, because I was just ready for a change! I was sick of living in LA at the time, and I actually wasn't even going to do the show... but after a trip to TX and lots of prayer, I decided.... you only live once! So WOO HOO, my sister flew to Burbank, helped me shop, helped me pack, I was just all over the place, so I needed a little help getting everything together... I'm just pumped to be on TV, because if you know me at all.. I'm such the ham! Funny how life works, because as soon as I got to know Matt, I knew he had my heart. Then the entire game changed, because... it wasn't a game anymore, I didn't see him with any of the other girls and it was just breaking my heart. I had every wonderful opportunity to tell him the truth, but I don't think at the time I was ready for a relationship, even though I wanted to be. Now after almost a year has gone by, we finally had the opportunity to hang out and just express all of the things that went unsaid so long ago....and I am about to get my country accent, boot wearin, Matt lovin' butt.... to Missourahhh!!! I HOPE HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S IN FOR! SOOOO MY SISTER'S GETTING MARRIED NEXT WEEK, I'M TAKEN DUHHH, AND NOW WE GOTTA GET MY MOMMA MARRIED OFF LOL IF YOU KNOW ANY CHRISTIAN, SINGLE MEN LIVING NEAR ATLANTA, TX LEMME KNOW FOLKS TAKING APPLICATIONS!!!!...
So, Brooke is taking Matt for her sister's wedding and she will give Missouri a try

Sorry if some of you already read this...

OutsideLookinIn, thank you so much for posting all of this! I'm enjoying their fairy tale so much, especially after the confusion of TB (of course that may turn out to be a fairy tale too, but I can guarantee that for me, nothing will beat this one!) I'm hoping my children will someday find spouses with the values and integrity of Matt and Brooke !

So neat to see what God can do in HIS timing and HIS ways. If he can use the mouth of a donkey, He can use a reality show to bring two people of His choosing together for His glory. HOW COOL!

Of course, it may have been TPTB spurring her on, but I don't think there's any love lost between the two of them, and I can't imagine Matt calling her "real" on his one interview.

Also, I wonder if they've seen each other much in the past year. Surely the CW made some arrangements once in a while!
Beachmom, I think this answers your question below about what Matt thinks of Christa ... I got this from his blog. Seems like a lot of fans are asking him the same question you're asking about Christa.

Christa with a CH yall!Well, where do I start? I have heard soooo many negative rumors and speculations about Miss Christa. Thought I would take a minute and set the record straight. Christa is one of the most wonderful girls that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life. She is more than words from my mouth can describe. Beautiful, outgoing, REAL, spontaneous, humurous, forgiving, and incrdibly fun really don't begin to scratch the surface of her magnitude. I assure you that no matter who you are, you cant help but want to get to know her better. Miss B and Christa were actually friends in the begining of the show because they are much more alike than any B haters or Christa haters would like to admit. The difference lies in when they choose to voice their opinion and neither is wrong for their beliefs. Remember to never cast stones unless you are perfect. The fact is that without a Miss B or a Christa, there would be no show! I could be easily replaced by someone much more articulate and better looking but these gals are the true stars! The relationship between Miss B and Christa quickly sowered when something happened that neither of them expected........true and ginuine feelings arose as well within me. We were all a bit dumbfounded. Those 8 hours that you saw through one month in July were very real but only a bittersweet taste of days and days of emotions. I beg anyone who is critical of Christa to walk a mile in her shoes. Please put yourself in her position and expose yourself to all that she went through. Especially us Christains. How would you react? Would you be strong enough to hold your tounge and composier when threatened? Just a different point of view to ponder. Make no mistake, Brooke won my heart, but I would bet that God has a man chosen for Christa that blows me out of the water! You can never judge or appreciate someone untill you know them. I know that Christa deserves only the best! On behalf of Miss B and I, I would like to ask everyone to think of what this show would have been without Christa????? Then pay her a compliment. She more than deserves it! Trust me, her beauty is beyond words and the show would have been nothing without her. This experience was amazing! Each and every girl encompassed soooo much more than what was seen. Although Miss B is my love, Christa will always hold a special place in my soul.

Matt

Re: Farmer Wants a Wife

I wonder if Matt's longer hair style was part of a "disguise" helping when he and Brooke got together in the photos posted here.

It must have been quite a top secret operation to get those two together after filming.
