| Re: Farmer Wants a Wife Well I'm so happy I was WRONG about him picking Christa. Thank goodness!!!! Yay Brooke! Harsh, harsh exits... all the town standing by... with a band playing... the mayor... then a crop duster. Goodness. He really seems like a nice guy. He was pretty choked up with Christa was crying. I wonder what the confirmed status of their relationship is. |

| Re: Farmer Wants a Wife thank you to the posters, i won't waste my tivo time now! I actually thought Christa did a superb job being the "New York girl" on the show. You could tell she was working hard to make her interviews interesting. I am sure the producers loved her and that she made their job easier, i.e. they weren't having to feed her every line like they obviously had to for Matt and the other girls. Think of how boring it would of been without her and Ashley adding some articulate narration and intelligence. Brooke couldn't string more than three words together, she must have been a nightmare to work with. Brooke will need to keep her liquor distribution sales rep job because she won't be getting any more acting gigs. |

| Re: Farmer Wants a Wife Well, it was Brooke's night all the way. I'm very happy for her and I'll check back for any info you sleuthers dig up. I hope they gave it a good try, anyway.Did anyone else think the mounted deer heads on the staircase wall were there for real, or for the Christa shock factor? Having taxidermi done is very expensive per my brother. He has the bear skin rug, but I don't know of any wall mounts...at least I've never asked him and he knows I don't want to know. Also did you notice what appeared to be a residence right next door, or was that a barn? You could see the crop fields from the back porch, anyway. I loved seeing Miss Franny once again, and other familiar faces in the banner audience. I felt as though I came to sort of know some of the townfolk. So, supposedly, Matt's Miss B has joined them. I knew there must have been a reason he named her as he named the other women in town. She was the only one from the beginning that gained the Miss title. Fun show with a crazy ending - though in keeping with the show's style. Them riding off on a tractor with the tin cans tied to the back was so silly and so right. ![]()

| Re: Farmer Wants a Wife I was all ready to see Christa win based on Bachelor 101 editing that gave the better FD to the winner...so when Brooke got the 4 wheeler date and Christa scored the carriage ride to his house....I thought Brooke is toast. And apparently she thought she was too. Luckily, these producers did not follow the editing guidelines and Brooke did turn out to be picked. Thank goodness. I really think that Christa did expect to be picked and appeared upset when she wasn't. Probably more embarrassing was the fact that Matt did it in public. But since most of the show centered on the townsfolk and how the women interacted, I guess the producers felt everyone should find out together. I like Brooke and Matt together but I really wonder if they did stick together or break up soon after. Any know?

| Re: Farmer Wants a Wife I am so happy Brooke won!!! I did think each girl handled themselves well at the elimination with the result - very poised and I was happy to see them hug each other and the comments made by Brooke regarding Christa. I would have felt like I wanted to throw up to having it in front of the whole town!! Did any of you think that when Matt and Brooke were on the blanket and she leaned in and hugged him that she was going to whisper to him that she was a virgin? Did he already know? I can't remember. I wonder if she thought telling him would ruin her chances since she had seen Christa and Matt be more affectionate. I got the sense at Matt and Christa's dinner that when Christa asked what she would do for work that Matt really wanted a stay at home wife to help mind the farm and kids. His home was nice but the hall of heads kind of got to me!! ![]() |
