Vintage Flip was on, they were doing a Victorian in RedLands, California.

I give this team kudos for redoing vintage houses, taking 60 plus days and trying to keep period pieces. I always do wonder if they add AC to these old homes? I am not a fan of some of the earth tones the old craftsman homes and Victorian homes use and green is not my favorite color. I do think they did a decent job on this house. I liked the black on black floor tile, that is a nice look, the white, sage green and light blue rather hand made looking subway tile was awesome and the way they reconfigured that awful upstairs bathroom was a vast improvement. I liked how she used various tones of green, the green hex tiles on the fireplace surround, the emerald/forest green tile back splash, and the sage green in the master bathroom. Having the subway tile go from floor to ceiling is sooooo effective a look, it looks expensive. Over all this couple seem to always do a very good job on the kitchen, eat in areas as well as how that space relates to the living and dining rooms.

Opening up this weekend's Target circular to see Chip and Joanna Gaines' new line of home goods. It is a 2 page spread: dishware, glassware, table linens, vases, wreaths, and lanterns. Target.com/HearthAndHand

    Vintage Flip - Hacienda House

At times I was not sure about the tile choices in the bathrooms but they turned out OK, the kitchen back splash was also iffy but again turned out OK. I liked the whitewashed saltillo tile, the simple white walls against the black trim and natural wood beams looked great. I am not a fan of green but this couple made the trim color work.

Flip or Flop Fort Worth ep 2

Ranch house about half way between Dallas and Fort Worth. They did a decent job. The outside was vastly improved with the blue paint on the brick, and the cedar wrapping on the one converted garage. Liked that they tied in the shed in the backyard with a similar paint job. Interesting tile selection in the bathrooms, kitchen and fireplace a bit of blue and brown. It does not sound good but the tile surround on the fireplace actually looked good. The kitchen was a surprise as they greatly reduced the size from a big open room to a galley kitchen but it worked. The lady likes to use at least 3 different tiles in a bathroom and I think you have to be careful with that, too much going on. She last to have the decorative band on the bottom of the wall in the shower stall and the bathtub surround. It worked in the shower not so much in the hall bath, the band was the same tile as the was on the floor and it was not necessary.

That is good news. So was that why he was growing his hair out? I wondered why Joanna let him out in public like that. He looked horrible and unkempt with his long, greasy hair and beard. I have to admit I would have paid for him to shave it off as well.
