I was not surprised at the end of the ep who he sent home, she hasn't been shown much lately and Bret seems to be getting into some of the more "real" girls that are there.
Ep spoilers from the early show:
[[On his one-on-one date with Jess I thought he seemed nervous to be with her because he was babbling for a lot the beginning of the date. She looked beautiful and I could really see him falling for her. I was disappointed he kept Heather, I was expecting a surprise double elimination. Erin was so ready to go home. I truly believe she was just there to be on TV.]]

However, I think he is also wise enough to get how ratings will affect his future CD sales, so I think he will keep the drama queens Heather and Lacey in as long as possible even with Heather's letter in the new ep.

But in the long run I think he will pick one of the more sane contestants.

I'm thinking he planned on keeping Lacey to the end regradless of how he feels about her because she's a ratings getter along with either Jess or Sam(both nice, likeable, `real') -the show ends on one of those evil vs. good notes and keeps people watching. I would hope he doesn't pick Sam simply because there's no way they are on the same page in terms of relationships and what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior in said relationship. She could do so much better. She seems out of place in compariosn to how the other girls behave. She has some class.

i think it's interesting how Lacey is taking credit for everyone leaving. Erin did herself in (with a little help from Heather) as did Rodeo and Brandi. There was NO connection that was apparent to me with Dallas. For some reason i'm getting the feeling that Lacey may be a plant.

I would hope that Sam or Jes wins, but to be honest I had never even heard of Bret Michaels before this show (ouch) and I don't think much now of "mr. Notch on my Bedpost"

I think these girls are pretty much having fun being seen on tv. Brett Michaels is older than all of them. Do they even know who he is or was? Jess is the best looking by far. Most of the girls from day one til now are about a 4 and I'm being nice.

I agree. Dare I say that if he gets rid of Lacey and Heather. He could pick any of them and I'd be happy. The rest of the other girls seem really nice - editing.

More like media sluts.
I am almost 100% sure that no one is on that show for a meaningful relationship. Even Bret. Maybe some fun and publicity. There is an (cough,cough) album (cough, cough) that is going to be released soon that needs promoting.

Jess is my front runner.
Heather is too harsh looking and possibly too old for an aging rock idol.
Sam, poor disillusioned Sam. She is way too sensitive for Bret's kind of lifestyle.
Lacey is just not right.
The rest pretty much fell off of my radar.

This show, like FOL, is just a guilty pleasure that gets taken way too seriously.
