Dance Life - MTV

Is anyone else watching this show on MTV?
It's produced by Jennifer Lopez and follows the fortunes of six dancers trying to carve out careers.
One of the featured dancers is Blake McGrath who was one of the most talented (imo) and cockiest contestants from the first season of So You Think You Can Dance?

The others are Kenny (who is dating a PussyCat Doll) Nolan, Celestina, Jersey and Staci.

If you like dancing and reality shows you should give it a look.

You hit that one spot on fluff! Blake is fantastic, but boy oh boy is he ever cocky! I didn't realize just how much so though until I started watching this show.

I think he does at least have the chops to back it up though.
I can see why Nolan doesn't like him.
Poor Nolan's really struggling to break through.
Blake's lean years seem to be behind him, at least for now.
He seems to be getting very steady work and Nolan's not getting a sniff.

Fluff - I almost started a thread for this show a couple weeks ago but got sidetracked.

I LOVE this show and how it give an inside look at how these dancers struggle with their careers. All the ups and downs they go through with auditions and agents and 'getting your face out there', etc.

I actually enjoy this show way much more than I thought I would. I really like the theme song, it's so catchy! Except, I'm not sure I like the dance interludes because they seem too staged. They're good, but don't flow with the show to me.

I'm just really pleased I'm not the only one watching it.
I wasn't going to bother with it, but caught one episode and became hooked.

I agree about the dance interludes though, ca.

Glad to see I am not the only one watching this. What side of the fence does Blake lean towards? Just curious... I hope Nolan starts landing some gigs, he seems like he tries real hard. Blake is definetly the cocky one.

^Oh, me too. I thought I was the only one watching it.

My favorite dancer is Jersey. I thought it was pretty funny this week when Staci brought her and Celestina to go shoot some guns at the target range. I couldn't help but laugh when Jersey shot her first bullet.

She was like, "I'm not doing this anymore!" but yet, she managed to get the bullseye.

My jaw dropped when I found out Kenny was dating a Pussycat Doll. A Pussycat Doll!?! I'm not saying he's out of his league or anything. It's just weird to see him dating someone pretty famous.

What about that theme song? I always dance to it, whether I'm in a chair while I'm typing or when I'm on my feet.

I didn't realize that Stacy's brother was TJ. He used to be one of Britney Spears main dancers, you can see him in a bunch of her old videos. Blake is so over the top that I can only assume that he is not straight. maybe Nolan rejected him and that's where the beef started....On that note, I'm off to perform a random interlude in my living room and look very intense and sweaty the entire time!

I watch this show. Blake does have an ego, but like others have said, he can back it up with his dancing skills.

I don't like Celestina's dancing. Her solo dance was mostly hand and finger movements. Move your feet. I read somewhere that she taught herself to dance. Not bad, since she can book jobs, but she's not my favorite.
