So we're going to watch a bunch of girls smoke cigarrettes and stand in-front of a white background "HOORAH" I am seriously into modeling but I would rather watch the edited,original version but I will watch,why is Petra hosting because I've never really seen her do anything significant in this industry and I stdy models career's a lot

She has a lot of character, and is quite admirable, for her survival during the tsunami and her story about all that.

An interesting thing they're doing with this show is that when its time to pick the girls that'll get signed, its going to be people from Next choosing who'd they'd like to sign.

Amen to that! I guess that means no more none of the "deals made under the table" that we have come to expect from another reality TV show about modeling (ahem!) which in this post and on this thread I will not mention the name of.

Yeah but still why couldn't they get somebody else, people say Tyra's bad but at least Tyra got some good runway work and ad campaigns but Petra has VS and thats it,I don't know if she's fit for the challenge but if people from NEXT are picking the girls I'd be fine with it.

Well at least for the first season I think it will be better than Tyra`s show but I do not know if in future seasons if Petra will be able to resist the pressure cooker situation created by network execs and sponsors.

The June 4-10 TV Guide says this show will premiere July 13 on TLC and it is called "A Model Life".

I thought the start date was this Friday? But nope, TLC isn't showing it yet. Which one is it? LOL

If you go to the TLC site, they don't even list it as a show.

I know this is going to sound strange but it could be all three dates are accurate. I know that cable channels unlike broadcast networks such as CW will broadcast the same episode of the same show several times presumably to make things easier for people such as myself who either have DVD recorders,DVR recorders or Tivo. Frankly I wish that the broadcast networks would do the same. The days in which we all watch the same episode of the same program at the same time have gone the way of the rotary dial telephone and the horse and buggy.
