| Re: Top Model Shows Outside the U.S. Finished watching AusNTM on youtube and to tell you the truth the show is a little bit boring without Palomer there she added that drama that spiced things up. Jordan is hilarious. Now I think by seeing the preview that Steph is the girl with the angelic face and Alice is the one who trips since I could totally tell that was Alice. |

| Re: Top Model Shows Outside the U.S. Its totally Alice that "planks" That body type is hard to miss. Which sucks. But that's way too obvious to send her home right? I really think it's bye Jordan.

| Re: Top Model Shows Outside the U.S. Anika Won't Be Australia's Next Top Model The bubbly 20-year-old talks about her engagement, why she thinks Jordan won't win, and the pressure of making the final four PRINT EMAILPosted Tuesday, May. 22, 2007 BY Alicia Neil How do you feel being eliminated so close to the end? I'm feeling relieved to go home and see my family and my fiancé! Even though I missed out on the international destination they announced for the final, I still had the time of my life. Definitely feeling good! Who's your fiancé? Was it difficult being away from him? His name is Andrew, he's 24 and I’ve known him for about three years. I met him through my parents as he was managing one of our companies. He’s been so good over the whole two months I was away and was overjoyed that I got on the show. I was missing him a lot. It was hard having our conversations taped because we couldn’t say much. I couldn’t help but break down in tears a lot of the time. How did he propose? It was very romantic! He took me out to dinner in my cousin's Rolls Royce. It was completely unexpected. He got my cousin to come in with a piece of paper that said, 'Marry me'. Being a blonde, I looked at my cousin and said, "Are you joking?" Then I saw the look on Andrew's face and realised he was serious. From what I can remember I said yes! What were you doing before the show? We've got a few family businesses and I was managing them. The show gave me a chance to have some time off! In terms of modelling, I've always wanted to be able to say I was a model since I can remember. I had an agency and was able to get some experience in photo shoots and catwalk. I wasn't sure if I was what they’d be looking for. I'm a reasonable height at 5'8" but I thought you had to be really tall and really skinny to model. You’ve cried during the last two eliminations. Is this because you felt you were leaving? I'm such an emotional person. Sometimes I think I cry for the sake of it. I think it was just an emotional thing. We all had that thought because the judges had kept saying that there wasn't one standout girl so it could be any of us. We definitely started to feel the pressure. But in my last week I knew that I was going after the photo shoot with Thorpie, because mess up the modelling side and we were out. As I stepped up on that podium I just broke down and poor Jodhi did as well. I got three of them crying! Do you feel you've shed your country girl image? Yes because I think my style got a little funkier and my confidence definitely got a boost. It's because I never thought I could make it that far in modelling. I've got a big bust and thought I'd be limited to modelling lingerie or for men's magazines. But during the competition I realised there are lots of different types of models, and I've come to the conclusion you need to have confidence in yourself and just go for it because sooner or later you'll get picked up by someone. Was it awkward being caught out when you told the cameras you didn't think Jordan could win? What can I say? It's a competition and I explained it to her. It's not something that I was hiding. I was looking at the four of us, trying to work out which of the girls could really win it. Automatically I think of Alice because she looks like a model, and then I think Steph H because the judges have loved her from day one. So when I said I don't think she's got what it takes, I didn't mean I don’t think she can't model, which is the way she took it. I was just saying it purely from the competition point of view. Who do you think will win? Alice is the only one who actually looks like a model. All the other girls you have to have a closer look at, but if you saw Alice walking down the street you'd know she's a model. I want Steph to win though. Did you have favourites or people you didn't like in the competition? I've always said I don't have a least favourite. We were all going to get on each other's nerves at some point and even though we may have said or done mean things I understand we were living in a harsh environment. I had the attitude that we'll get over it and move on with our lives, and I'm not going to hold anything against anyone. They're all my favourites, but I got on particularly well with Sophie. Do you think anyone was playing someone they're not in front of the camera? Well, a lot of the girls were saying that about Paloma but I never actually knew what she was like until I started watching the show myself. I was calling up Danica saying, "Did you know Paloma was like this?!," and she was saying they all knew from day one. I was oblivious! We're in a competition and I think we all wanted to give our best front to the cameras and judges as much as possible and I think we all did in a way. But I don’t know if anyone was being fake or not, I'm naïve to that! How was it doing your first real photo shoot? The shoot with The Sunday Magazine was amazing. In the competition we were put under the most extreme circumstances. On shoots we weren't given that much direction or able to look at our photos. But at this shoot the photographer knew what he wanted and directed us, we could look at our photos and see if we could improve what we were doing, there was only three people in the room instead of the usual 50 and we they took as long as they needed to get the right photo! What's in store for you now? Will you pursue modelling? Definitely. Now that I've got the experience I think ill probably look for an agent in Sydney. Is there anything we didn't learn about you on the show? That I'm actually a really nice person! I'm genuine and very outgoing, but hopefully it came across.
