Oh and Allie -- I went to the "what do you look like?" thread, and let me tell you the story of that.

So, it was the first time I'd ever done this in a while, but I actually took the initiative to leave the Top Models Outside the US thread to see the picture of you you posted. At first I awkwardly searched the screen for five minutes before realizing the button to go to the general FORT listing of threads was in the upper-left-hand corner. I clicked it, and then was presented with a seemingly endless amount of choices. It was so weird. It all seemed to alien to me. FORT has other threads??? I was shocked.

Anyway, I managed to find the "off topic" thread, and clicked it. THEN I was presented with even more threads to choose from! I was totally lost. My vision blurred intensely, and my mind clouded up. I immediately stepped away from my computer, and started sobbing and tearing at my face. It was just too new to me. Like staring at the sun -- I couldn't take it. Finally, after being dried of all my tears, I got up, and puffed my chest out. I had to take this like a man!!! So I sat back down at my work station, and searched for the "what do you look like?" thread. I found it after going through many strange places, involving a sphinx that told riddles, and only let you past if you got it right. It was a quest that took days. years.

But finally, and miraculously, I found the thread, and the first page I saw was of you!

It was weird, because now I feel like I know you.. I don't like looking at pics of other people I know through the internet....because it's strange. It creates this connection that I'm not completely comfortable with. It means that we're somewhat closer together as human beings, and I don't like that. It reminds me that we're all humans on this earth, and the whole reason I came to FORT (or rather, this thread) was to discuss reality TV, a method of removing that human bond.

I've been desensitized, and seeing what someone else looks like on this thread was an alienating and awkward experience. Plus, it took me like an hour to actually find the thread it was in, so that added to the strangeness factor.

But besides that, you look good

I'm never leaving this thread again, though. Too creepy.

Problem is that I can't get the full episode to work, only the clips! Aargh, I need to have the mystery of why they would possibly eliminate Tamara solved! Does it work for anyone else (Click on the first one - Episode 2 in voller Länge)?

If you watch the clip of the "Bikiniwalk" get ready to be horrified, I'm warning you now.

Oh, also, about half of the casting episode with English subs is up on youtube, if anyone is interested. User srikos.

they had a commercial casting before and they told her that her personality is not extrem enough to be in a commercial.
they also told her that she is shaky and not very sovereign and that to be a topmodel you need more power, sexappeal and glamour.
all in all heidi said tamara was okay, but as they discussed it they thought okay is not enough.

Ginger, that picture is fantastic. Mexico/Gina-Lisa Land's next top model is going to be so amazing it might just trump PoNTM as the best show ever created.

Contestants who are not Mari-Motorola special (aka actually fantastic) for me would be Katharina and Aisha. None of the others really jumped out as much as they did, IMO. And what's with Wanda's clothing just flying around like that? Is she on Germany's Next Top Stripper?

OK is not enough, but FUGLY is, apparently.

And what's with making this Germany's Next Top TV Ad Star? Why do they have a commercial casting director as a permanent member of the panel? I guess they've given up on trying to get an actual model.

Guru - they made a technician at the Sed-card shoot strip out of his clothes and made Wanda wear them and told her to act like a "hiphop" girl.

i think they dont search for top models, but for commercial faces.

lena g. and barbara mostly appear in tv commercials.
lena g. made commercials for microsoft and katjes (a big german producer of jelly, also heidi has a contract with them), barbara made commercials for pantene and c&a (one of the biggest clothing chains in europe), yvonne the runner up of cycle 1 made a commercial for video on demand and appeared on the second season of stars on ice here in germany and also anne, who reached twelfth place in cycle 1, appeared in a popular german motion picture.

so i think it is more a search for a tv personality than for a high fashion model.

Haha! The true GNTM has been unveiled!!! Hopefully the charm of it for most of you is gone. Remember when you all were like "OMG GNTM IS THE BEST TOP MODEL EVER EVER EVER!!!" ??

If any of you are interested in not being majorly dissapointed and depressed for the next month or so, I suggest you switch your faith over to AusNTM, if you haven't already.

Top Models are like Religions, to me. I'm a devout follower of AusNTMism
