I think the main criteria for choosing cities now is based on the access to bars and booze. The cast members don't really go into the cities anymore. .

Johannesburg, South Africa or Tokyo, Japan

    With the usual sterotype cast:
    1-Blond girl
    2-Innoncent Brunette girl
    3-Black Football Player
    4-Hot Gay Dude
    5-Racist Dude
    6-Hot Sexy Latin girl
    7-Religious Dude

they should definitely do L.A./Hollywood and arrange for the cast members to run into celebrities, etc and see how they react, that could become interesting.....

They actually had planned to do a season here in the Detroit suburbs and had even purchased a loft in Royal Oak. But it all fell through for some reason.

I heard when MTV execs announced that it was Denver instead of Detriot, it came as kind of a shocker. Everyone was expecting it to be there, but then they transfer to Denver.

    I wonder what happened.

I don't think the first season in Los Angeles was all that trashy. I would rather they go to new places than repeat though.

Ok, I may be biased because I am a country girl...but I think it would be great to throw some of these spoiled kids on the Real World into a farmhouse in Hicktown, USA. Make them work on a farm, adopt a southern accent, the whole 9 yards. I think it would make for some great TV because they would freak out!

That sounds a little too much like the Simple Life though.
