BTW, is this thread going to be moved to the top of the FORT board?
It only has its own forum if someone is writing about and I guess that is not the case this season.

Still watching the show here and will refrain from commenting until I see the rest of the show.

ETA: Now the show is over and I am shocked that my bottom pick for both the guys and girls was eliminated. Normally I don't agree with the judges, but this time I do. My favorites are the brother and sister, as well as Meg.

YEAH you love our hometown people (brother and sister)!!!

I was really tickled to see them do so good! Though I did agree with Anastasia...if you are going to be on national TV, you don't need to be showing up like you are about to dash to Wallyworld!! Must.wear.makeup.

Meg was a really pretty girl but she did look a little hesitant and afraid up there. Hopefully she can shake that off.....

I agreed with the girl that was booted and I was flip-flopping between the guy that was cut and the last guy that performed (angry Marine guy).

My 2 fave girls were Angela and Kacie and my 2 fave guys were Zak and David.

Not really liking the judges right now....I love Randy Owen but not so much as a judge tonight...same for Blake Shelton...I'd rather have the Warren Brothers back!

Guess it'll just be me and you JLuvs talking about Nashville Star in here!

I don't like the new judges or Jewel as a host She was boring me to tears.

I am sure some of the people who chatted from last season will show up, if not we can have our own little chats

I am glad that there is no one there that I am going to go nuts over this season. No one fits that category for me.

No, I agree..no one to particularly go nuts over....I missed out on last years...I would catch it off and on but couldn't ever remember the damn thing was on!

I like Jewel and hope maybe she'll grow into the hosting a little more!

One thing I did appreciate about Jewel is when she stuck up for the contestants. When she commented on the fact that there were only floor moniters for the sound. This is something that occurs on most of the contest shows, Idol and Rock Star both had complaints about this. Why can't they fix this problem, so people can hear to not be off-tune (as much, as some still will be).

I think Jewel will get better as she goes along. I only started watching this show last season. Do they change hostesses and judges every year?

Over all I wasn't impressed but still hopeful that the season will get better.

I think all of the hosts of stuck up for the contestants at one time or another...that is part of their job description, it seems. As for that being sorted out, I think contestants need to be able to correct the problem without the monitors necessarily working as who knows what is going to happen if they are touring and there are insufficient monitors at the place. They need to be prepared for it all.

The host have been Nancy O'Dell, who I think was far and away the best, Leann Rimes, Wynonna Judd and Jewel...I think. But I could be forgetting someone. The judges have changed a few times over the seasons. I don't think the changes this year were for the better. But time will tell.

I don't think its intentional that they've changed hostesses and judges so often....let's see, hostesses we've had Nancy O'Dell, Wynonna, LeeAnn Rimes, Jewel (am I forgetting anyone?). Judges we've had The Warren Brothers, Phil Vassar, Tracy Gershon, Charlie Robison, Robert Oermann, Billy Greenwood and Bret Michaels.

Cowboy Troy and Cletus T. Judd for co-hosts.

A wide spectrum of Nashville.....but in a way that's good because it keeps it fresh and brings different perspectives.

I thought I posted something...guess not

The hosts always seem to stick up for the contestants, but I don't necessarily agree with it. What it they are doing a gig at a place where the monitors are sub par, or there are no monitors at all? To me they need to be able to sing on key regardless of the quality of the monitors.

I really liked Kasey, Angela, & Whitney. Angela- great vocal chops and probably the best vocalist there. Kasey, I love her small town girl persona. Whitney, love her stage presence. I think we will finally get another girl winner. Although all the winners have basically flopped and the only person to make anything out of themselves is Miranda Lambert.

I know on the official website it says you can vote 10 times online and 10 times per phone line....well I have been able to get through alot more than 10 times on the phone lines and I know I've voted more than 10 times online.

I can't remember if it'll tell me "you've reached your voting limit" (like DWTS does) or if it just quits registering after 10.......I don't want to continuously sit here and hit re-dial thinking my votes are counting and they really don't......Anyone know????

Anyone need the numbers? Just in case...
1-866-978-27
01-Kacie
02-Whitney
03-Angela
05-Meg
06-David
07-Zak
09-Joshua
10-Dustin
