I'm sure Beth is a very nice person. IMO she's just trying way too hard to make it in the biz. She would not be a very good actress though because she can barely keep a straight face just knowing she's on camera.

this MIGHT be off topic, but it pertains to all seasons, so i'll ask anyway.

do the people cast in the show get paid for it? my daughter and i were just talking and she thinks that the free rent and food is the only compensation they get. i always assumed they also got paid for appearing? anyone know for sure?

I believe they are paid, or at least they use to be, if what I heard was correct. It was so long ago that I can't actually remember the amount.

They get paid but its a really low amount. Its less than what they get for just showing up on the challenges.

They should get paid if they don't because there on the show for 4 1/2 months.
