| This episode was a vast improvement, though I would have preferred that they have a challenge... The haircuts took up quite a bit of camera time, no? Anyways, Dawn was aching to be sent home, because the fact of the matter is that she stinks at modeling. Her makeover was nice, but as Tricia said, her beauty wasn't enough... Brandi looks WAY better. She was the prettiest before the makeover, and definitely the prettiest still. She has a very natural and effortless beauty, whereas with the others you almost have to try to see them in a positive light. The negative to her is all of her damn confidence... She's really full of herself. They "need" her in the competition? She was in the freaking bottom two. -_- Talk about a blow to your ego. I hope it teaches her a lesson. Alanna is so freaking plain... She's not a model. As Jeanne said, there's nothing memorable about her... She's average... :S She should have been the second to go, right after Dawn. Alanna is also, not to be rude, a bit more heavyset than her contemporaries, though lighter than Natalie. Tenika looks quite a bit better... I don't mind her, nor like her a good deal... I can't wait till the Brandi vs. Tenika match though! Can't you feel the juicy drama?! I loved the way she was comparing Brandi to a snake... Brandi is sneaky, rebounding from her little sobbing pout to asking for wine to get her drunk.I really detested Sisi in the first episode, but I love her now. I usually like the underdogs in the end, like Jade from ANTM. Sisi is hilarious. Her Olay Model Behaviour was hilarious, and completely true... I doubted that Sisi could be the "bitch" as she claimed she would in Episode 1, but with her claim for revenge and all, I think it'll be great. I believe she'll be more independant and will improve... though I don't see a win in her future. I at first really liked Heather, but I don't think so any more... Her hair looks nicer though, particularly the color. Andrea's makeover REALLY surprised me. For a few moments there, she looked beautiful. Ylenia seems to be ... sort of slow... XD I can't put my finger on it... I think she's pretty, but she has a very aged look to her, sort of like a mom who's trying to stay fresh and cool. Natalie is hilarious! ... Is that all? ... Uh... Yup. ![]() In the first episode my prediction for the top three was: 1) Brandi 2) Heather 3) Ylenia but methinks I will change it around a bit to: 1) Brandi 2) Tenika 3) Sisi |

| Zomg, all I have to say about this show is: it's filmed way to close to home. I could walk the beach and take maybe 20 mins and get to their house. But I like it, the first show was iffy but it got better with the second. So far I love Sisi (even though she is a crazy Asian chick).

| Sisi: FINALLY! An asian girl with some potential. I think she looks awesome. Just needs to work on the face a bit. I have no idea why she was in the bottom three. Her photo is one of the best in the group. Brandi just irritates me. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance girl! |

| Do you think Tricia calls the girls in order of who did the best that week or does she make it completely random until the bottom 2? If it was the best, the judges made very bizarre choices. |

| Giz: You're right. Victoria is not a fashion capital at all. But it's pretty. I don't think they call the girls in any order in particular, other than to try to confuse both them and the tv viewers. Same with the bottom two. Sometimes I think they pick two that will be surprised to make it more interesting and have the girls feel challenged all the time and not get used to the fact that they may coast through a few shows. ------------------ Here's a recent interview with Dawn if you hadn't seen it. Reality Bites – Canada’s Next Top Model – Week 2 Another week, another model wannabe bites the runway dust. ![]() This week, on Canada’s Next Top Model, 22-year-old Dawn, a bartender from Calgary, got the axe. Judges worried she was too shy and meek to make it in the cutthroat world of posing. The day after her fate aired on CityTV…Dawn answered some AOL questions about her experience… including the fact that one of her competitors – Sisi – was filmed making fun of her. Q. When you watched the show, how did you feel about yourself? A. I was chatting with a lot of my friends back home. They said ‘it’s good, you left gracefully, you weren’t talking about anybody behind their back, you didn’t change who you were.’ It was a matter of me coming out of my shell and I don’t know if they really gave me enough time for that. I liked how they perceived me on the show, except for the whole Sisi thing… When we were in the house I’d never talked to her or anything and she was badmouthing me! It came out of nowhere. That was the only thing I was a little confused about. Q. Would you ever talk to her about it? A. To me, it’s not really worth my time. Honestly, all the girls in the house thought she was crazy anyway. It’s just not worth it. I just thought it was odd; I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. Q. Having watching the show, would you have done anything differently [if you were to do it all again]? A. The one thing I would probably do differently would be a little bit more aggressive. It’s funny cause that’s totally not my personality, but it made me realize that this is modeling; it’s what you have to do. I’d definitely be a little more confident. Q. What’s your plan now? A. The show is the best portfolio ever. Once it’s done airing it’s going to open so many doors for me. It’s basically a strike while the iron’s hot kind of thing. I think that if I can I’ll pursue modeling, if not maybe it just wasn’t meant to be. But it’s something I’d love to do. Q. Who do you hope wins? A. That would definitely be Ylenia. I think she has what it takes and she’s just such a sweetheart on top of it too. Q. Who would you like to see kicked off? A. That would be Sisi. Q. What was the most difficult thing about filming the show? A. The long days. The days were very long and the nights were very short. We were always on the run, eating quick, one thing after another. It was trying to keep your head up and trying to stay positive when it’s so stressful and you have nine other girls and everybody’s true colours start coming out. Q. What is it like to have people constantly criticizing your appearance? A. It’s really hard. In the modeling industry, you fit in one size. If you don’t fit, they can’t use you. Some girls will take it to extremes, but if it doesn’t work for you, don’t do it. I think that if you have to be that slim, you should be healthy, eat well, exercise. But it is hard because there is this need to be tiny. It hurts you and it actually consumes you, not me personally… I just eat healthy and run. Q. Brandi [a contestant who seems very, very driven] came off a little bit…cuckoo…what’s your take on her? A. The whole acting, modeling thing is her life and she wants it very badly and she went in there with a cutthroat attitude and we weren’t her friends. She was up and down, she was like ‘I’ll do anything to win the competition’, but then at the house she was bawling and saying ‘oh none of you guys like me’. A lot of the girls contradicted themselves a lot so you don’t really know how to take it. One second they’re nice, one second they’re not. It’s all really about getting to know that person. Q. What was the best experience that you took from the series? A. Every second of every day we were there we were learning something and you just take it home with you, you take it in your career. I went from knowing nothing to knowing so much more that it was amazing. Q. What is it about modeling that interests you? A. It’s kind of like acting, you’re dressing up and being somebody you’re not. It’s glamorous and I love fashion. It’s hard work, but it’s so fun. Q. Do you feel like you’re more confident now that you’ve done the show? A. Definitely. It’s so crazy how much it’s brought my confidence up. Today I’ve done 26 interviews or something like that and it doesn’t even phase me! It’s opened me up so much more. To me it’s like learning how to ride a bike. The more you do it, the more comfortable you get. Celebrity hair and make-up stylist Paul Venoit was one of the judges who decided that Dawn had to go. Here’s what he had to say about the show. Q. What do you think Dawn should have done differently? A. Changed up her facial expression. I think she is so beautiful. She could have a career modeling, definitely, but the problem was she didn’t give any variation at all. She looked so scared and we were worried for her. We all loved her and thought she was beautiful, but she just didn’t seem to have the confidence. We said being a supermodel takes more than beauty and a winning smile, you have to have the confidence. She was just so timid… and it was like ‘we can’t do this to you anymore, go home’. Q. When you first met the 10 finalists, who stood out for you? A. A few of them did for different reasons. I loved the confidence that Tenika and Brandi had. Ylenia has such a gorgeous face, I think she was the most striking. Andrea… I was like ‘girl needs a makeover’. Dawn I thought was beautiful as well. I saw beauty in all of them really. Q. What kind of drama should we look out for in future episodes? A. I don’t know! I tune in every week to see what kind of drama is going on, cause we don’t know the edit of the show. We really don’t know what’s going to make the cut. Q. What makes a great model? A. Confidence, the ability to be a chameleon, to be able to be expressive in the eyes. Q. What’s you advice for girls who try out for the next season? A. They should be doing some research, watching the shows, buying the magazines and coming in with the right wardrobe and coming in at the top of their game. I think Tricia is much better at giving the girls instruction and advice during the photoshoots than Tyra is.
