One, I think it's out of a sign of respect for her elders. She's more casual and frank in the way she speaks with the other girls in the house becasue they're her age and on her level. Just like the way you talk with your cousins is not necessarily the way you'd speak to your grandparents. By virtue of their age and their position as mentors/teachers/judges I think that she's just speaking to them in a more respectful and well presented manner.

Two, if you want to be a success in the industry, you do have to have a 'game face' to a certain extent. Even as ANTM has taught us, you might be asked to do a large number of things and shoots and it's your job as a model to smile, look pretty and not complain. Complain back at home to your momma's and your friends. Which is exactly what Cori is doing. A model may hate the clothes she's asked to wear or her make up or hair, but to the client she should not complain but be respectful and in a way "know her place." Cori is being polite and complicent when eating foods she doesn't like for the benefit of Nigel or putting on a happy face for Nole and Jay because that's what she should do as a model, and save the complaints for her "friends" in her private time (she assumed the other girls were her friends but they aren't acting very friendly by calling her fake to the other judges).

And three, Cori's being a smart competator. Do you think you're going to win CNTM by coming into judging and being like "Ewww Nigel the restaurant you took us to was gross. I hated it. Jay this photoshoot sucked, I hated my dress, my hair was stupid" etc.? Not likely. You want to win points in the judges eyes then a certain amount of sucking up is in order. This is also the case in the modeling world at large. When a model goes out for a Chanel casting, she should act like Chanel is her favourite brand and that it would be the biggest honour to be in that show. Auditioning for a commerical for a brand of soup? Mmmmmm you just LOVE this soup, you can't wait to eat it on set all day! *FLASH big toothy smile* ...and then run and puke it up backstage because it's actually the grossest stuff ever.

So yeah I don't really think calling Cori fake is fair of the other girls, as persons who are sort of her friends and her colleagues they are on her level and in turn privy to a side of her she, rightfully, hides from the judges. What was Tyra's advice for Melrose after their very first photoshoot? "If you're a bitch... hide it" and in a way, that's all Cori is doing, hiding the bitching and complaining from those who have the power to make or break her career (at least in terms of this show) if she brought that to panel.


Oh, also, when Cori said she likes "American food" she means like Americanized or western food. There's really no difference between American and Canadian food. It's all western cuisine.

I definately agree, but I don't think that's why they called her "fake". Cori at home swears like a pirate, smokes more than a chimney and acts like she's the greatest thing since slice bread (in one of her blogs, she said how she has the best look in the competition, humility much?) but as soon as she gets in front of the judges, she magically becomes naive, cute, defenseless, sheltered, un-confident and small-town.

What happened to the over-confident, loud, smoking, swearing bitch we see at home. She totally puts up and act in front of the judges. There's a difference between being respectful and classy, and just fake. Cori is fake.

Am I the only one who still doesn't like Rebecca? She just seems way too manly, more so than Tara even. I thought she looked terrible at the go sees, personally, I wouldn't hire her. And I don't see her "good" sense of style. That shirt she wore at judging was so 90's.

I feel like CNTM got the idea from Make Me A Supermodel, and as much as I did love Rebecca's shot, their general idea wasnt as greatly executed as the ones on MMAS.

Nope, I feel pretty much the same way about Rebecca. She does photograph the best of the girls, however, in person she doesn't grab me at all.

I dont say confident, just completly the oposite of what she looks in the panel. I mean, she even said they (the judges) should ''''''''' themselves in the house.
