Totally! She seems more excited to meet Kate Waters and everyone else than when she actually met Marc Jacobs. She was talking to him like she'd talk to a friend. A little strange, eh?

I don't watch the show but I would guess Lauren seemed unenthusiastic because she was trying to appear professional, or maybe she didn't know how she should react. What I find interesting is that Heidi got slammed when she supposedly got promoted in Bolthouse by the viewers. The reason being because she only got promoted because of the show. Yet Lauren gets all kinds of opportunities just because of the show, like being selected to go to Paris above whitney who had a longer interning career, and now she gets to meet Marc Jacobs. We haven't seen an ounce of talent from lauren in terms of her designing capabilities and she's supposedly going to open an online store. And there are amazingly talented designers, like those on Heidi Klum's show, who can't get work. I'm not blaming Lauren for this. I'm just saying that it's such a double standard to be so hard on Heidi when Lauren is in the exact same boat.

If you watch the 1st episode of the 1st season, didn't Lauren and Whitney start interning on the same day? I remember them starting together.

Yes, but Whitney had interned for 3 years at W prior to getting an internship at teen vogue.

I reckon it doesn't mean anything since they both started out on the same day.Plus, Heidi doesn't even work at Bolthouse.

Did anyone else catch the subtle Hills reference on last week's Brothers and Sisters? Justin was watching a show with Rebecca who explained that the girl with the new boobs screwed over the initials girl. It was too funny.....if you got it.....

And ICYMI, they slammed Heidi too........lol

I read in a magazine that Lauren doesn't really work/intern at Teen Vogue either, and just shows up to film her scenes. They said that Whitney does really work at Teen Vogue and is dedicated to her career.

I thought it was required for celebrities to bring out their clothing lines nowadays, even pseudo-celebrities like Lauren.

I did see some of her outfits in a magazine recently and I recall one of the dresses being called "The Audrina." I don't really remember what they were like - probably fine but obviously not memorable.

Yes, absolutely.

If I ever in my lifetime had the opportunity to meet a famous designer such as Marc Jacobs (and esp if I loved his clothes) I would have jumped up from that bench/chair and extended my hand and introduced myself and tell him how I love his work....but Lauren came off as "oh, ya, hi, I am putting things in alpabetical order, ya, see ya"...

Bahahahahah this made me laugh so hard. Then pity anyone who thinks any aspect of this show is real.

We're hearing that Roxy Olin (daughter of Brothers & Sisters' Ken Olin and Patricia Wettig), whom you'll remember as Jason Lewis' girlfriend on B&S, has been "cast" as Heidi's Maid of Honor!

I know! Lunacy!

This appears to mean either (a) our beloved Speidi have no real friends to take part in the ceremony, (b) producers want to control the look and drama and script of the wedding or (c) more than just the I do's are gonna be scripted at this wedding!

Or perhaps some kind of combination of all of the above?
